"Lovely cosy cottage with gorgeous views. Owner was really friendly checking we’d settled in ok. Great location (as long as you have car) to get to nearby towns and attractions. Shame there wasn’t a pub within walking distance (as the road was too risky to walk on at night), however, the food and staff at the local pub in Yetholm (approx 1.5mile) were lovely and welcoming and food great! The only criticism I’d have of the cottage is that the bathroom and some decor could do with updating, however...

We have stayed at many excellent rentals but can honestly say that this was the best. "A beautiful hotel with very generous sized, clean, cosy rooms; well stocked with tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits. Unfortunately though, our mattress and pillows were quite hard making for an uncomfortable night's sleep. An excellent breakfast with a very good choice of cooked food, fresh fruit, pastries and cereals etc. It would be even better if you could have a latte instead of the filter coffee but that is only a small thing."

Downsides would be they do not do omelettes, baked beans are watered down, check out time of 10.30 is very early, room key had been deactivated before 9 am on check out day. The shower head in the bathroom was too heavy for the shower head holder and fell off a couple of times but luckily I moved in time. I am also not a fan of hotels with dogs. It is a clean, and a nice building, with good parking. I would recommend it."
