So much room for our group. The kitchen was amazing with so much refrigerator space for our large group. We loved the commercial ice machine and so much room in the common area for everyone to spread out. It was nice that each family was able to have their own bathroom. The rooms were quiet and we weren't able to hear anything going on in the common area. There were some rooms that seemed like they didn't get fully cleaned as we found random items under the beds or behind the doors but otherwise it was a very nice place to stay.
My friends and I had an amazing stay at this waterfront property! There are so many activities at the property that everyone enjoyed, we would definitely stay here again!
My group and I loved staying here. They have everything a big gathering needs! The kitchen area was great! The outdoor area also has everything one would need. Thank you to the host!
My sister got married in a very low key ceremony recently and we wanted to throw her and her husband a celebration with their closest friends and family. This was the perfect place for hosting a gathering! There was ample space for food prep and plenty of room for guests to hang out, play games, and enjoy the beautiful weather. Couldn’t have asked for a better location and the host was so helpful in answering any questions we had.
My family had a wonderful time at this property. We were 22 in total with ages ranging from 2 years to 65. This property had so much room to spread out. The common area had plenty of seating. The amount of space in the commercial sized kitchen and refrigerators made cooking for so many people easy. Everyone loved the amenities outside like basketball, volleyball, pickle ball and a playscape for the little ones. The bedrooms were clean and had everything you need for your stay. All in all, we really enjoyed spending time on this property and would definitely come back in the future.
We visited with 5 families and the property was the perfect fit for our needs. It was very clean and the amenities are endless. There is so much room both inside and outside, a spacious commercial kitchen to prepare food, plenty of fridge space, grills outside, a fire pit and plenty of TV's for your family to watch football. ;) Our adult kids enjoyed the basketball, pickle ball and volleyball courts in addition to the kayaks. There is a ton of space for other outdoor games, but plenty of room to be inside if the weather is not cooperating. Since there is a ton of seating both inside and outside, leave your chairs at home. Thank you so much for having us, we will be back!
The view of Lake Huron is spectacular. Great outdoor space and equipment. Lots of wildlife to watch. The lodge was amazing to allow our large group to visit and eat together. Loved the bar (especially the ice maker) and all the commercial refrigerators and freezer. The park and beach just 5 minutes away was a favorite with the kids and fishermen in the group.

The concept of this vacation center is great. We enjoyed the large center family area. Large commercial kitchen needs cleaning for all appliances. Bathrooms had no towel bars or grab bar in shower. Large Yard layout is great, but needed mowing and edging and volleyball area was very weedy.

The Good:The main living area and commercial kitchen were fantastic. It was a great space to hang out. Lots of seating. Would be great for large events/parties. We enjoyed having the pickleball court and cornhole boards. View of Lake Huron was great. The Not So Good: This used to be a motel/restaurant a few years ago and the sign is still up outside. Over the course of the weekend, we had 8 people show up and wander in thinking it was still open. Eventually we just kept the front door locked and put a "closed" sign on the door so who knows how many more people stopped by. This could easily be remedied by taking the sign down. There are many signs up inside from when it was a restaurant as well- I'm not sure if that is part of the aesthetic they were going for or if they were just not bothered to take them down. The rooms were dated and not in great shape. I'm not sure that they were updated since it was a motel. Rooms had a musty odor and needed to be aired out when we arrived. The beds were uncomfortable. A couple of the rooms locking mechanisms weren't working. The rooms all open to the outside (not a big deal, just FYI in case you have children). There isn't really a beach per say, it's quite marshy/mucky so the water wasn't usable at all. I'm not sure if it normally is or if it's just because it's been so dry this year.

Let me start with the positives: The place has a huge yard for games and activities. The fire pit was a wonderful feature. The industrial kitchen was amazing with an indoor grill and cooktop. The walk in cooler was amazing. Several TVs on the property and lots to doNow the negatives: First of all, the site claims this is a beachfront property. One would think ( or at least I thought) beach meant beach. To kayak you had to wade thru ankle deep mud to even get to the water. Two of the kids had to have leaches removed after wading in the water. No way one would ever swim in that water!!! In addition, we had no idea the fish flies (may flies-whatever you call them) were so thick you had to sweep layers of them off the sidewalk to keepFrom tracking them in the house. The property is a closed restaurant and on 3 occasions we had people show up in the back yard looking around etc because the signage stating it was closed was hard to see. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and all need replaced. The furniture is broken and needs replaced. The key code lock does not work properly and took 10-15 min each time to get it to finally lock. We had 1 very hot day during our stay in which the central Air unit broke and was not able to be repaired until the next day causing the house temp to be 89 degrees. Overall, even though we had a good time, this property was not what was advertised or expected therefore, we feel ripped off.
Our host was very accommodating and responsive to our needs especially upon arrival. There was fresh snow accumulating and they came and shoveled after our check-in. Also, a maintenance call was required for one of the bathrooms and they arrived promptly to correct the problem. Our family gathered for a birthday party/reunion and the shared common space was AMAZING for this event. The open concept was spacious, but also cozy. The layout was perfect for visiting, eating and playing games. The kitchen was SOLID. With 8 different families arriving for the weekend we had way more food and drink than necessary. Regardless, there were several industrial sized fridges and freezers that accommodated our obnoxious assortment of consumables with room to spare. They also had abundant kitchenware and appliances that made cooking for our large group seamless. The ice machine located by the bar may have been everyone’s favorite accommodation. The bedrooms were modest. As expected, the comfort of the beds varied between guests and the consensus seemed to be that people who like soft beds slept poorly while those who preferred a firm mattress slept great. If you are a softy, consider bringing your own pillow top for the bed.Would highly recommend this location and hope to plan a future reunion during a summer month!
