600 sq. ft. custom built cabin, 1 bedroom with sleeping loft; sleeps 6. Full kitchen with dishwasher and a utility room with laundry. Comfortable living room with cable TV & wi-fi. Great covered porch w/ swing overlooking pine & oak forest.
Private fire pit area w/ Adirondack chairs. Shared children play area w/ badminton/volleyball net. Fenced 3+ acre property backs up to national forest w/ hiking trails. Close to creeks & Blue Ridge reservoir. There is a discount offered on stays longer then 3 days, each additional day stayed is just $100.

Owners were very nice and welcoming and even left fresh baked cookies on table for when we arrived. The cabin is very cute and comfortable. Love that there is lots of different things the kids can do on property we didn’t get to take advantage of all because it was raining a lot when we were there. The cabin is nestled in the back of the neighbor hood so very quiet away from main roads. Would highly recommend to family and friends.

Relax at The Haven

Wife and I had a great stay here. Super cozy and comfortable. We loved how the bedroom area was separate from the kitchen and living room. Very peaceful and relaxing!

Super cute cabin

The cabin was very roomy and felt much bigger than it was. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. My kids had fun on the grounds playing on the equipment and sleeping in the loft!

The cabin is immaculate, and the kitchen has everything a person would need to cook and serve meals. The back deck has a nice view of woods. The bed is super comfy. I don't know what else to say! We plan to come back again!

Wedding weekend away

We had a wedding to attend close by and we found this gem of a place! So worth the drive from NE Mesa too the beautiful pines. Quiet and peaceful! The hosts are just so lovely! Heaters were on when we arrived! Cafe lights and fire place was on and a little plate of chocolate chip cookies! Everything was so clean and cozy! We enjoyed every minute! We didn’t want to leave! We will definitely be back!

5 stars is not enough!!

Absolute great property! Bunkhouse was roomier than expected, spotless and perfectly decorated. Outside activities galore. Perfect if you have younger kids or even bigger kids They will not be bored. Can't wait to go back with my grand son. He willl love it! Linda and Leon are excellent hosts and we look forward to seeing them again soon.

The coziest getaway

Linda and Leon have such a gem in the Forrest. They keep it immaculate, and have all the amenities you could need. Me and my husband plus two kids really enjoyed how much there was to do outdoors. BBQ, firepit, playground, basketball court, and the list goes on. Definitely a great stay for those with kids. Inside was so cozy and our daughter loved the loft bed. The WiFi did not work and we had no cell signal which we were not as prepared for but it actually turned out perfect to be totally ‘unplugged’ for the weekend. Thank you for sharing such a sweet spot.

Better than it looked in the listing

Was larger and prettier than it looked in the listing. Very cozy and warm with nice hiking around. Was very clean and the owner had even left homemade cookies out! (Which were delicious, thank you!) If I had to nitpick, my only suggestion would be if the owners added more curtains (there was only one over the bedroom window). It was a bit unnerving at night knowing anything outside could see in. Either way it was an extremely pleasant experience and great getaway. Would absolutely go back =)

Beautiful Cottage

We just returned from a weekend trip to Happy Jack. I wish we could have stayed longer. The cottage was so inviting and adorable. You can tell there was a lot of thought put into the construction. For example, there is a beam across the kitchen where the wiring for the ceiling fan and lights were hidden. The ladder going up to the loft was very safe. The kitchen had everything you may need. The bed was very soft! The entire cottage is extremely clean. The owners kindly ask that you remove your shoes when inside which I respect and appreciate. Overall, a lovely stay.

Anniversary weekend

The Haven was the perfect place to get away from the Phoenix heat and really enjoy the cooler temps of northern Arizona. The cottage is nestled in a nice, quiet residential neighborhood, but when you sit on the back porch you feel like miles away from anyone. The cottage is adorable, beautifully appointed and had most of the amenities we needed. Linda was very easy to work with and we loved the homemade cookies and note she left for us upon our arrival! The cottage is equipped with internet and satellite tv, but my husband missed having a radio in the kitchen. Phone service for us was very spotty, and although we do love the Happy Jack area, you definitely need to travel a good distance to do any shopping for food, etc. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again.
