On Sundays closed, but we got our nice room and also breakfast. Very friendly lady in reception. Hotel is on a beautiful place at the river.

Pitstop for the family trip

One night stay when travelling to Lapland. Dinner at the restaurant was very good, breakfast too! No air conditioning in the room. Due to warm weather, the room was a little stuffy. Still, we slept well!

I must say the service staff in this place is outstanding! It truly elevated the whole experience even more. The facility is clean and new with serene surroundings and beautiful views. The room was tidy, bathroom needs some deep grout cleaning but it was well cleaned anyway and nothing bothered us regarding the cleanliness. In the morning we headed for breakfast and we truly weren't left hungry or disappointed! They had so many options even for gluten free guests and the service and staff were once again exceptional. We had an awesome stay and if I had to think of something negative, it would probably be the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. They had fans available but nothing beats a proper air conditioner.

Excellent breakfast

We enjoyed our stay for one night before heading to Norway, the cleaning of the rooms could have been better but overall everything was okay. Good value for money. Breakfast was 5/5. This hotel is near centre of Haaparanta but at a quiet location. We didn’t use the spa but it looked lovely.

One night pit stop. It is not a hotel, it is a wooden block of flats with no air condition and you can't keep window open because of the mosquitos. Restaurant was very good and breakfast was also. We didn't use the spa services or area. Friendly staff. Free parking. Cheap price.

A conflicting experience

Dinner and breakfast were very good and served in a nice old villa. The other buildings of the hotel were not so nice. Rooms had apparently been somewhat renovated, but very basic and tobacco smell was lingering in the room. A lot of people staying in the hotel and camp site, but this was not for us.

It was a real treat staying here, though we didn't have any time to enjoy the facilities because we arrived late and left after breakfast the next morning. The room was nice and quiet, and the view of the river and Finland, very pretty. Breakfast was excellent the next morning. The only thing I'd recommend was putting up some kind of curtain in the door window, because the light coming in is kind of bright. The bedroom area was dark with the room-darkening curtains, but the light from the door shone into the bedroom. I would stay here again--though it is slightly out of the way--to enjoy the sauna, pool, spa facilities, restaurant. I also bought some of the wonderful hand lotion for sale at reception...it smells fantastic!

Great location and way to expencive spa

There was a bit chaos and waiting at the reception for the days we was there, but the staff did all their best. Will probably be better in the future. The price to use the Spa is totally crazy. Not worth it. It's a small spa and half price would be more then enough. The breakfast building is built very strange where you need to move gently into a narrow room to find the first part, next part with warm food and bread is in the next room that is even more narrow. It works but should have been better organized, as well as tables/seating. To many tables for groups, should be more separate tables. Location is very nice
