Unit 8 is small for 4 people it smells no place to dine, table had the TV on it. The unit was old and very tired, bathroom very tiny and old with an intense very unpleasant smell. Beds were extremely soft. Heating was a small wall heater that had all the TV box and cords in front of it so unsafe to use.

The Owner was very obliging, as due to CHC being booked out & a midnight flight arrival, we knew if would be a 3am arrival. He kindly left the unit unlocked for us. While the place is showing it's age & use, it was clean & tidy, the shower was great, the sheets were clean & the beds comfy. We slept well. Would I use Larchwood Motels again? Without hesitation. It's value for money indeed. I have to say, I enjoyed teh chat with the owner teh next morning. A cheerful & kind man.

Pillow old and flat. 1 pillow per person. Shower dirty, with mould. Clearly not cleaned in years. Bed was okay. Location not to bad. Needs updating in rooms. Not worth the price, even as a budget motel.

Thank you for your comment! We have asked the cleaner to give a special cleaning of the shower. There are spare pillows in the cabinet at the foot of the bed.

Nice location- easy to walk into Main Street. Good size accommodation for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Place is quite tired and could do with an upgrade. Walls are quite thin as you can hear people going up and down stairs. Room was of average cleanliness as some clothes were left from previous people, hair in shower, dirty pillowcase. Fine if just need somewhere to sleep.

Bad exposed wiring in the unit especially upstairs bedroom. Very poor voltage on electricity throughout. Grubby dish cloths in kitchen. Electric blanket did not work. Generally a very grubby place.

Dirty coffee cups and plates. Left freshly bought crumpets on the bench and while we were at the hot pools they were partially eaten by a rodent. Very unkempt.

Very convenient to village. Unit was spacious for 2 adults and 2 under 5 kids. Lounge was huge and kitchen well equipped. Heat pump was great as the evening temperature plummeted. Only disappointment was cooking smell and the kitchen lacked a rangehood.
