About this property
Rustic, yet Modern Trailside Cottage/MTU 2.3 Miles
Experience the Copper Country's natural beauty from our flagship property! The Miner was tastefully decorated & pays tribute to the area’s rich copper mining history. It is quaint & relaxing, yet spacious enough for entertaining.
The Miner is the perfect destination for couples, business travelers and small families as it sits at the gateway to the Keweenaw and is located steps from the famed Jack Stevens snowmobile trail.
A portion of all bookings will donated to local youth hockey.
All of our vacation rentals are centered around the Keweenaw’s top four season attractions! Located near the pristine shores of Lake Superior, we have single family properties available ranging from 1-3 bedrooms. Our properties are located within historical downtown Hancock and in the quaint town of Chassell Michigan. When you book with us, you will find remodeled homes decorated with rustically modern finishes and outfitted with well appointed kitchens.
Our guests are able to access the entire property to include their own private laundry, luxury shower and full kitchen with all the amenities you could need to host your open private dinner.
I may or may not be available during your stay, but we have a property manager that lives in the area, and is available.
The Keweenaw Peninsula is a four season destination, and is exciting for everyone because there is always something to do! You can enjoy our pristine fresh water beaches in the summer because we are salt free! Seek adventure on the world’s best snowmobile trails because we get up to 25 feet of snow each winter! If you are looking for a quiet vacation then visit this spring to hunt morel mushrooms! If fall is more your speed, then come for the great weather and breathtaking colors. After all, it doesn’t matter what time of the year you arrive, we always have something wonderful to experience!
If you are looking to steep yourself in rich culture, then the Copper Country is the place to visit! We have roughly 68 museums, attractions and ghost towns to explore! Come catch a play at Michigan Tech’s Rozsa Center, or visit the historic Calumet Theater to step back in time! Visit the birthplace of professional hockey. Watch your Michigan Tech Huskies battle the nation’s top collegiate hockey teams at the John McGinnis Ice Center!
Onsite parking is available.
*Please note that we are located along Lincoln St (US41) and the snowmobile trail. I would hate to lose your business because of it, but I would rather make sure you are happy with your stay. If you are a very light sleeper, other accommodations might be better suited for your needs. If you want to be in the middle of everything, and walking distance to restaurants and shopping I have no doubt that you will love it!
The Copper Country is an excellent destination for an adventure with your pup. With host approval, you may bring up to two dogs under 40 pounds. Please note that a non-refundable pet fee applies, and all pets must be disclosed at the time of booking. After your reservation is confirmed or upon request, we will provide you with our detailed pet rules to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for everyone.
