Luxury Cabin nestled in Cherokee National forest steps away from the AT!

Your basecamp for adventure! Steps away from the Appalachian Trail, this refuge is bordered by Cherokee National Forest and Laurel Fork Creek. On property activities include fishing, creek playing/swimming, hiking, stargazing (no light pollution here) and of course, ping pong. With a picnic and hammock area by the creek, outdoor pavilion with fireplace for al-fresco dining and s’mores, plenty of board games and limited WiFi Internet.

*Please note we do not allow any weddings or events at this home!*

This cozy cottage is big on outdoors but can still sleep up to 3 families. The house is best described as a modern dogtrot. The main part of the home contains the living/kitchen/dining area, master bedroom with king bed and en suite bathroom, lofted bunk room, full guest bath and laundry closet. This part of the house is connected to the secondary part of the home via the “dogtrot” or screened-in porch (complete with ping pong table). The secondary part of the home includes 2 bedrooms, both with queen beds, which share a Jack and Jill bathroom. The property also boasts an immaculate timber frame pavilion complete with a massive wood-burning fireplace. Laurel Fork Creek borders the front edge of the parcel and is every kid’s favorite place to splash an afternoon away. Additionally, there are only 5 houses on this dead-end street with only one of those being lived in full-time so there is virtually no traffic.

Perfect Private Getaway
We loved our own little private getway from the busy world. Everything was perfect: creek size, daily turkey vistors, apple trees full of apples, beautiful lodging. Can't wait to return!

Luxury base camp
Me and some friends stayed at the cabin for a couple of days on a fishing trip and were very pleased. I am used to short-term rentals looking great in photographs and then turning out to be poorly maintained dumps. This one was quite the opposite. It was clean, well provisioned, and in every way. We will stay here again! One note: the toilet paper could use a serious upgrade.

Engagement and Birthday weekend
It was my daughter in law (to be) birthday on Dec 11, and our son chose that evening to propose to her, so, needless to say, it was an incredible weekend to celebrate. The house was beautiful, and fit the bill, we really enjoyed to outdoor fireplace and pavilion. Thank you so much for a memorable get away.

Beautiful home.
This place is totally unplugged which was nice. Internet would have been great. Lol. House was amazing. Clean. Comfy. Love the creek infront of house. Love the outside area. Fully stocked house. The only negative is there is a huge bee wasp hornet bees problem. Lots of wasp nest in porch and fireplace area. Lots and lots nest buried in grass everywhere. The wasp issues is bad.

great escape to nature
The property is situated beautifully with a creek to play in, very close proximity to the AT and an a lovely outside pavilion for eating meals outside. The beds are very comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. The kids sleeping area is up a long ladder and it's open to the noise of the kitchen/living area so have you have to go outside or be very quiet. Overall it was one of our favorites!

We loved our visit to this property. It was perfect for our family!
This was a beautiful place! Our family and my parents stayed for a long weekend to attend my oldest daughters pinning ceremony and graduation at East Tennessee State University. There was plenty of beds, lovely kitchen and living room and our favorite was the outdoor fireplace area. Everything we needed was there. We had evening fires, played games, cooked s’mores and just enjoyed visiting. The only thing that would have been nicer was if the grass had been cut before we arrived. We played a game of softball in the big open yard, which was loads of fun! It’s a great place we would loved to visit again.
