Perfect Poconos Retreat, .5 miles -Beach & Pool, Huge Game Room, Pet Friendly!

Located in The Hideout, a gated community nestled in the Pocono Mountains. Perfect spot to spend time with family and friends. Only 2 hours away from New York and Philadelphia areas. This 4 bedroom 2 bath home can accommodate 12 guests and up to 14 with two extra air mattresses supplied. The house has 4 private bedrooms with sheets and towels supplied. The master "Golf Bedroom" has a King size bed, A/C, flat screen TV and private bath. Our "Wilderness Bedroom" has a queen size bed, flat screen TV and view of the woods. The "Lake Bedroom" has two twin beds, A/C, TV, and view of the woods as well. The downstairs "Disney Bedroom" has two sets of bunkbeds that can sleep 4 children. There is also a pull out couch in the basement that sleeps 2. The house also comes with brand new kitchen appliances and a brand new gas grill.

A HUGE Game room. There are multiple arcade games and many retro games to play on TV. A full size ping pong table, Skee-ball, Air Hockey, and Pool Table as well. Enjoy the sounds of the surrounding woods on the large deck with gas BBQ, full dining table and many Adirondack chairs. The main living space has a gas fireplace to warm up around and a Flat screen TV.
The Hideout is a gold star gated community with many amenities - Two pools, two areas to enjoy the large lake, a 9 hole golf course, mini golf course, beach volleyball area, and picnic area. The club house to eat lunch and dinner, and a brand new full recreation center with indoor tennis, gym, game room, salon, library and all purpose room for movie viewing. We have a art center where you can paint pottery and outdoor tennis, basketball courts, and baseball field. Many hiking trails, around the area. 10 Mins from Lake Wallenpaupack area as well.

Location is great - quiet street in quiet area. As it was only the two of us, we had more than enough room. We enjoyed the games downstairs a lot!Our visit was spa related so we went back and forth to The Lodge at Woodloch but had a happy place to return to each day.

Great Stay!

We enjoyed a great Memorial Day Weekend! The fire pit was fantastic. Our 4 teens enjoyed the games in the basement and watched movies there at night. Matt was an outstanding host! He helped answer all our questions (almost immediately) and gave us great recommendations for eating out in the area. We highly recommend this house and the area for your next getaway!

Relaxing Stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was tidy and nicely decorated. The kids loved the games. Will definitely consider renting again if we choose that area to vacation to in the future.

Very clean and had everything we needed. Our teenagers enjoyed the game area. It was exactly what we were looking for! A weekend away to just relax and spend time together! The owners were super helpful and very quick to respond if we had a question.

Days by the lake

We had a family reunion for the first time in the Poconos and had a great time. The house was very nice with a great play room downstairs which kept the kids happy and a great beach with a raft and a chance to dig holes.

Cozy cabin in the woods

Great property in a community with plenty of things to do. The game room was a hit with the kids. Owner communication was great and everything was ready and working when we arrived. Would definitely rent again. For a rather sizeable community, the house felt very secluded (in a good way) with lots of privacy.

We enjoyed this cozy, warm and welcoming and well appointed home for our family fall getaway. We all enjoyed the game room. We did not want to leave. Matt was quick to respond and communication was A+++.

Weekend lake getaway

We had a great weekend, and really enjoyed our stay. The kids LOVED the game room (Skeeball! Foozball! Billiards! Arcade Games! And a C64 Emulator?!!), the adults loved the firepit and the porch! The shared lake and pool was fantastic, very child friendly - a great getaway.

Great Birthday Celebration

We went to The Hideout to celebrate my mom’s 96th birthday and had a wonderful time! The house was perfect for the 7 of us. The host, Matt, checked in with us when we arrived to make sure everything was ok. Although we were all adults, the house is great for kids, too. The location is perfect and the amenities were just as described. We barbecued, hung out on the deck, explored the area and spent evenings all together in the cozy living room. It was so much fun and mom loved it.

Fun Weekend!

Matt was a great host! Communication was easy and efficient. He also offered extra info for fun activities for the kids. The house was clean, very well stocked and the basement is a God send for kids on a rainy day! We felt at home from the start and had a blast even though it rained ALL day on Saturday.

Excellent game room

Our family of 11 had a great time at the cabin for our reunion. Everyone loved the game room even the adults. We beat the high scores on Pac-Man and Galaga. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed spending time on the beach which was not far from cabin. Matt was very helpful.

Family Vacation

A previously planned trip was cancelled which left our family looking for a new place to rest, relax, and enjoy some family time on short notice. We were able to find that here and we are so grateful that we could be accommodated with a short turn around time. We cooked and grilled while we were there and the house had everything we needed. We loved that we could walk to the beach, pool, and canoe launch for some fun while having a place for quiet as well. Our kids love the basement and want to return for a movie night. We hope to return again!

Memorial Day Weekend 2024

The house was very cozy and was a perfect layout for all of us to make meals and eat together inside or outside on the deck. We loved that we could watch movies or have a game night upstairs or downstairs. We played lots of ping pong and arcade games and appreciated the movie decor😊. The Hideout itself is a little challenging as it was crowded on the beach and in the pool area (a holiday weekend could be the reason) and the public safety officers take their responsibilities very seriously 🙄. But the location of the house is very tranquil and serene. And Matt was very attentive and helpful with providing lots of suggestions for what to do and where to go in the area. We will definitely consider staying here again.

Snow tubing vaca.

My children & grandchildren stayed at Whispering Woods for a 3 day snow tubing trip. The owner Matt was the most cordial person to deal with. He answered every question i had so fast I was truly impressed. He and his wife made several suggestions about activites in and around the community that myself and my grandkids might enjoy. The house had every th hing we could possibly need, all the way down to qtips in the bathrooms. Im very OCD and have a cleaning business and i tell you this place met my standards which are pretty high. The downstairs game room was awesome for the kids as well as myself. I haven't played Pack-man in over 40 yrs and it was so much fun. Im not as good at ping pong but still beat the little ones, lol. The Mickey room was a big hit for my grandson who informed me he was not coming home with us but was gonna live there forever with Mickey. Cant say enough about this place and the owners. Hoping to get back in the summer. Matt thanks again for mak im ng th his a wonderful holiday vacation my family will remember long after im gone! Annie
