"Motel One Glasgow is centrally located, and the staff were polite during check-in. However, our stay was disappointing overall.
The room was extremely small, with barely enough space to move around comfortably. Upon arrival, there was a noticeable smell of weed in the room. We opened the window and turned on the bathroom fan, which seemed to help temporarily, but the smell returned by the following morning. When we reported it, the staff simply noted the room number, and no further action was taken.
Because we had to keep the window open, we were also dealing with noise from the surrounding construction, traffic, and nearby trains. Even on the 12th floor, the noise was noticeable.
The parking situation was another major frustration. I had read that parking was available, but that was not the case during our stay. We had to park several blocks away and ended up paying much more than expected.
The area around the hotel is currently dominated by construction, with barriers, equipment, dumpsters, and roadworks affecting access and the overall appearance of the neighborhood.
Breakfast was also underwhelming and did not meet expectations.
Overall, while the location may work for some travelers, the odor issue, noise, lack of parking, tiny room, and disappointing breakfast made this a stay I would not choose again"
