Roger (host) was wonderful. He ensured that we had everything we needed throughout our stay and he was friendly and accommodating. Roger made delicious breakfasts - coffee excellent! Spacious bathroom and comfortable sitting area/bedroom. Such a beautiful, historic property. I would definitely return.

Charming getaway

We needed a couples getaway from Toronto and had an amazing stay with Roger and Joyce. Felt very safe in covid and their house is lovely with so much character and charm. Roger is also a great cook and you will definitely enjoy the healthy daily breakfast! Location was also great as it was a short drive to the wineries and turkey point! I would highly recommend.

Roger and Joyce's B&B was perfect, so comfortable and clean. The south room was remarkable. They were so friendlt and helpful. This was our first stay, we have already talked abour our return. Stay here, you wont be disappointed.

Lovely experience

Lovely heritage home just outside of Simcoe. Close to several top restaurants. Lovely hosts. Just the right combination of friendly and interesting, but not intrusive. Breakfast had four or five choices, cooked to order. The bed was. Double and we were worried it would be too small, but it was firm and we didn’t roll together. The bathroom was pretty and the shower was luxurious with massage jets. You can stay in anonymous generic hotels or stay here

We really enjoyed meeting Roger and Joyce. They are very welcoming. The house is beautiful !! Loved the shower ! Be sure to check out Rogers incredible studio of his art work. Highly recommend Culverdene !!

This house was built in the mid 1800s. It's stunning. We loved staying there. The owners are friendly, accommodating, and keep this place pristine. Breakfast was excellent and they used ingredients from the region. We will be back.

Like: Bed, sitting area in bedroom, breakfasts, coffee and water available in the main hall, wonderful bathroom (spotless), lovely historic house, Wireless Fidelity provided, no clutter like in some B&Bs, portable AC worked OK, and helpful and friendly owners.. Not like: TV would have been nice.

Great stay.

I had business in that area. Hotels were all booked up for some reason. I found this gem of a place looking for an alternative. I'm so glad because it was just amazing. It was very quiet and relaxing. Roger and Joyce are the best hosts and are so informative.

The house and the hosts were lovely and very accommodating. However the room was not cooled before my arrival which was on a very hot day and the in- room air conditioner (Which I had difficulty operating) noise made for a restless sleep. Having the coffee making facilities down stairs was also inconvenient as I have a mobility issue

Very well set-up to fulfill guests needs, ice, glasses etc. Suggested a night light for bathroom needs.

Not the best B&B

Sad to say our stay was not the best. We had to leave in the middle of the night due to bugs in our sheets. And I do believe because of an old mattress it might have had bed bugs, however we didnt stay that long to know for sure as we thankfully did not get any bed bug bites. But there were bugs crawling on us and inside the sheets for sure. The house is located in a very forestry area and not on an open space which makes the lot and house seem a bit haunted. The owners were nice, however we did not stick around long enough to assess the service.

Comfortable b&b with very friendly staff

Roger and Joyce were amazing hosts. This place is great. Breakfast was superb. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

George was attentive and welcoming. He accommodated a very early wake up. The home made quiche, coffee and fruit salad were amazing. Highly recommended place to stay.
