Yurt - Wacky Stays - six UNIQUE rentals in Kaikoura

9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (12)
"We think wacky stays with the farm animals is a great concept, especially for children. If choosing again, we would not take the yurt. The mouldy smell was overwhelming - didn't think it was due to the animal hair construction - I have done a lot of rough 3rd world (and 3rd class) travelling and this was not that smell. It was mould. The outdoor kitchen was pretty rugged and not particularly clean, but a fun element for summer. Some things didn't work - one side of electric blanket, lights in...

1889 Wooden Train Carriage - Wacky Stays - six unique properties in Kaikoura

7.6 out of 10, Good, (9)
"The train carriage is amazing. A truly amazing fit-out (George Clarke should really pay a visit!) The attention to detail is very impressive (and it was beautifully clean). We absolutely loved our stay and would like to have stayed longer. The farm park is just a short drive from Kaikoura township along a quiet country road. The farm park really added to the experience for our kids. We felt warmly welcomed as guests. Highly recommend!"

6.8 out of 10, (3)
"On the website I thought it was a Tee Pee in a farm paddock. But there are multiple accommodations on the farm so not as private as I thought! The Tee Pee was old & mouldy.
