The place is a little outdated but very charming...the only reason I say outdated is because we could not use the shower in the main bathroom, there was no water pressure, just a dribble. Other than that, I would stay there again.

Family Vacation

Nice out of the way place

This is a nice little cottage, tucked away from everything right on the river. I was looking for some peace and quiet, and that’s exactly what I got. Even though the weather wasn’t great, the sunroom still let me enjoy the views.

Relaxing off-the-beaten-path place to stay

Those gorgeous sunrises will never cease to amaze! We enjoyed our second stay at this property staying 11 nights. It’s about 2 hours from DC so we were able to do a couple of trips there. Part of our stay was during a very cold snap but property stayed warm and cozy.

Summer Vacation

We had a great week of vacation at this little hidden gem. We spent a lot of our time fishing as a family and just sitting on the dock listening to the waves. This was a quiet area, but not too far from quaint little towns to visit. Would definitely recommend it.

Wonderful, Relaxing Stay

Both my wife and I had a very relaxing, wonderful stay in your cottage this past weekend. The view were fantastic and the cottage was just as described. The area is very laid back and quiet. No traffic and crowds to deal with. Very enjoyable. Will definitely consider returning !!!

Host was amazing! My MIL lost her wedding rings! They turned up after next renters who put them on dining room table --thank you honest people!! Host drove 3 hrs each way to retrieve them for us and wouldn't take a reward. We had talked about renting again even before this amazing experience

Property was nice, grounds were excellent. Property manager was extremely responsive, she bent over backwards to ensure that we were satisfied. (Even gave us fishing and crabbing tips) Just one thing, everything worked but was old. Needs new appliances and a rug. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay very much 😀

Best Water View

A simple cottage with an awesome view! We spent all our time sitting on the patio or in the sunporch watching the boats, Ospreys fishing, and eagles soaring overhead. The water is about 20' from the patio and has totally unobstructed views of the wide Potomac. One level house with no steps to the patio which made for easy access for our 94 yo mother.

Lovely, quiet getaway

We had an enjoyable 3 days there! It was so quiet and peaceful. I am not sure if it is always this quiet there, maybe because it is still early summer and some schools are still in session. Loved the back patio and the dock. Beautiful place to watch the sunrise! The house was unique in the layout, but it was a fun place to stay. Very clean! Smelled fresh and clean the moment we walked in. Communication was fast and clear. Thank you so much for a much needed quiet getaway for our family!

Nice quiet stay

We had a nice relaxing time. My husband fished off the dock. I sat and read my books. The area was quiet and peaceful. The view was gorgeous. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. If you’re looking for somewhere with tons to do in the area… this isn’t that. We did find a National park nearby for swimming and boating and hiking but there are few restaurants and the closest Walmart was 40 minutes away. But that’s exactly what we were looking for, so it was perfect.

Retreat

We were in the area for a family wedding so spent most of our time away from the cottage. It provided a welcome morning and evening retreat, sun (or even clouds) over the water. We could have enjoyed many hours sitting in the "sun room" if we hadn't been pulled away to other activities. It was all lovely and easy. Suggest owners install a grab bar for the tub/shower. That tile step is dangerous, especially when wet.
