"Everything was great here for a quick Mother's day getaway across the street from the Lake! The hotel itself can still use some minor detailed upgrades and the refrigerator in the room did not work at all. Overall i really had a nice stay and would come back."

"A ton of fruit flies/gnats in the rooms. Had to hang fly ribbons. Water leaked from the ceiling on my bed and in the bathroom. Big wet spot on the floor. Will not be coming back!"

"The overall stay was good. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the room was when we checked in. It looked like it had been recently updated and clean, except for the shower head. It definitely needed to be cleaned or replaced. The staff was pleasant, but the front desk clerk argued a little about the shower when I notified her. But that didn't ruin my experience. I didn't check out the breakfast snacks, but she did tell me there were some available. It is also very convenient to great food and easy I10 access. I would stay here again. "

"... I was very pleased with the Hotel and Casino. They don't rent scooters there like some Casinos, but they helped me find a place that delivered to the Casino. Plenty of room to ride the scooter between machines without bumping into everything. The Balcony room overlooking the Lake was very nice. Very Pleased with my FIRST TIME visit to the HORSESHOE CASINO in LAKE CHARLES, La."

"Room was clean, breakfast was fresh. Couch was dirty . This property could use some updates to the bedroom furniture and air conditioning. One of the staff asked my husband if he had a room there, which was strange . "

"The outside of the hotel and lobby were decently nice. However, my room was atrocious. The top lock had been ripped off, the door to the adjoining room didn’t lock and they had pushed a desk against it. Shower was covered in scum, dust and grime on doors and floor. Stuff on the floor, stained sheets. I told the staff I couldn’t not stay here for the duration. They did offer another room or to make sure that no one stayed in the adjoining room….. but at that point, as a single woman, traveling alone …. I was already uneasy. The lady at the desk was very kind and understanding."
