La Mata is a great mellow town to make your home base with great restaurants and a couple markets right down the boardwalk. It’s not super fancy, so don’t expect the four seasons, but it’s a great place to stay, highly recommend. "

"Por fuera todo pinta bien, cuando entra en el hall sigue todo pero al pedir las llaves, el muchacho me dice que hay que esperar las 17h00 para poder tenerlas. Pero bueno, da igual, mientras tanto vamos a la playa. Al regresar, nos dan las "ansiadas" llaves. Al entrar en la habitación, descubrimos una sala blanca con cuatro camas de una plaza (dos de ellas juntadas) y nada más. No hay ni mesita de noche, ni tele ni nada. La ventana está podrida por la húmedad. El aire acondicionado está bloqueado...

"This house was perfect. It was spotless throughout. The bedrooms were nice and big with air-conditioning in each one. The sitting room is nice and big with adequate seating for 6 adults. There is plenty of seating outside. The pool is lovely and big ,again lots of room to have fun in. The house is exactly as advertised. Juan is the perfect host, always available if needed. We loved the gardens around the property, with plenty of space if you want some time on your own. Consum supermarket is 2 minutes from the house which was perfect for freshly baked bread for lunch each day. There are a good variety of restaurants close by to choose from. I would highly recommend this house and host. If i could i would buy it and have the perfect holiday home in Spain. "
"Hotel was great, we took room only as wanted to explore the area and eat at lical restaurants, however, the dining facilities at the hotel did look good. The room was a little basic, no tea or coffee making facilities but clean and comfortable, great air con too as the weather was very hot during our stay.
Drinks were well priced although only one draught beer on tap, and there was nightly entertainment aimed for the children. Very close to the beach too. Overall a good stay and worth the cost. "
