"The house was cosy and well equipped (although we couldnt find a hairdryer). The beds were comfy and the place was lovely and clean. The bathroom is a little dated as is the kitchen but it is accurately described and had what we needed. The fire was wonderful. Overall it was very good."

"There is native bush nearby, Haast is a part of UNESCO World Heritage Site. I have not seen a pool nor heard anyone talk about it. The room was tidy and quite clean. I found the man who helped us during check in and who works at the bar of the pub friendly and kind. Cleaning staff were using the vacuum cleaner before 8am, that was a bit early I found."

"Birdsong Cottage is well named with a multitude of birds in the surrounding bush and we could hear morepork at night. Beautiful location, good directions and cosy. I would suggest the shower could be improved and the pool chemicals would be better out of reach of children."

"Suggest host install light fixtures rather than bare light bulbs everywhere and fix the leak in shower and kitchen window hardware. The bach was very clean and simple. Suggest you get any groceries before you arrive. "
