I wish we’d planned for more time in Haarlem. This was by far the most affordable hotel we stayed at on our trip to the Netherlands (other cities were Amsterdam and Utrecht), and it was just as nice. The room was clean and quiet but the shower/toilet combo took a little getting used to. You can throw a rock and hit the train station from this hotel, and you can walk out the front door and follow the street right to the market and shopping district. There are lots of places to eat nearby, too, and a bike rental shop just a few storefronts down. Keep in mind that if this is your last stop before flying home, you should probably figure out your transportation to the airport ahead of time. We needed to be at the airport at 6am on a Sunday and there were no trains running at that hour. Our only options were the bus (with 14 stops between the hotel and the airport), Uber, or taxi. The hotel staff were helpful in assisting with scheduling a taxi ahead of time for us to get to the airport. Would be happy to stay here again.

The Hotel is so convenient to Haarlem train stations 1 minute walk away. Its very clean, comfortable , lovely lounge area, Breakfasts are great such choice. Only 10minutes walk from the centre for bars, restaurants and shops. We hired bikes and went to the beach,definitely recommend. 10minutes away from Amsterdam by train. Definitely stay again ,

Great wee hotel.
Excellent position beside railway station. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel kept very clean, beds very comfortable,and best breakfast ever. Thank you for a lovely stay.t Thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas markets.

This was a lovely renovated hotel close to the Haarlem train station but with easy parking. We left the car there for a day trip into Amsterdam but LOVED the quieter beauty of Haarlem. The hotel is well-maintained and tastefully decorated. My only issue was our quadruple room was rather cramped and the bathroom is strangely designed (toilet in the shower?) with an odd smell. Possibly better as a single or couple traveling, not our family of 4.

Dear Alison, nice to read that you prefered Haarlem over Amsterdam... Many people do when they have stayed with us.We try to accommodate families or parties of friends in our larger rooms all with their own beds and no fold aways nor bunk beds. This can be a bit carmped but there is a demand of this type of room so we try to offer it to our guests. All of our rooms have bathrooms with shower and toilet which you will find in most hotels but they should not have an odd smell. We apologize for that.

this was a terrific hotel. The location was perfect, 1 minute to the train station, 5 minutes to shopping and restaurants. The staff could not be more helpful and gracious, the room comfortable. I highly recommend it.

On arrival to the hotel which was well situated I first used the public bathroom which was an absolute mess, this did worry me. They stored my luggage and let me check in around 230pm. The room was spotlessly clean and modern. The bed was uncomfortable though and would benefit from a new mattress. Breakfast was OK but feel it was not value for money though with hot items very limited. Overall I did enjoy my stay and would probably book again.

Good location, right by the station and where the bus stops from the airport (40 minute trip, 300 bus, just tap in and out with a contactless card). Very clean hotel, helpful staff, and an easy walk into central Haarlem which is really lovely.

Extremely convenient to train station, restaurants, shopping, sites and bike rentals. Safe and comfortable; friendly and professional staff. Restaurant and lounge off of lobby. Blackout curtains and windows that open for ventilation. Some rooms can have too much street noise on weekends and holidays.

Room 101 has the oldest dirtiest carpet I have seen in a few years as well as makes and flaking painted wall. A lovely hotel in a good spot bud sadly my room seemed below par.

Gracious welcome in a convenient place
A wonderfully convenient hotel in an ancient and beautiful city. Beautifully appointed room with thoughtful amenities and provisions for guests. Breakfast was amazing, and best of all the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff made this a place to be revisited.

The hotel and room were really lovely; beautiful decor, good size family room and clean. It is close to lots of cafes and restaurants. If you book parking, ask for directions that avoid the bus lane running outside the hotel.

We arrived to our room having not been cleaned. We found dirty used towels in the bathroom, used soap, stains on the bed sheets, and a notepad scribbled on. It was as though we were in another person’s room.

Two of the front desk personnel were absolutely wonderful--pleasant, helpful, friendly. The tall, thin blondish lady at the front desk was consistently rude. The breakfast was mediocre and it was next to impossible to ever find any employee to help you, other than the consierge at the front desk. The room was small and cramped. It was not expensive, but I'd rather pay more and have a bit more room and a bit of service.

Charming room with all the amenities I needed (Nespresso, tea kettle, comfortable bed). Breakfast was delicious and served in a lovely dining area. Staff was kind and very helpful. Historical hotel property that is well located for walking through town, as well as biking outside the town.
