It was my 4th visit to Taj Damdama and just like before the property did not fail to impress me with their hospitality. The resort is under renovation and took extra care to inform us about it and gave us room where we did not hear any noise and it did not feel that we are in a property where work is going on. The rooms are spacious and surrounded by plants and trees. The view from the room and the restaurant is quite natural and the vibe is very relaxing. I want to extend special Thanks to Urmila who personally reached out to us to take extra care. Even the staff at Shamiyana, the chef took extra care by recommending the best dishes and taking genuine feedback from the guests. Taj Hotels always exceed the bars they have set previously. I can't wait to come back again and enjoy the newly built Villas and the fabulous touch they are giving to this resort, Thank you again

Very Average Property

Very average property. Needs a lot of regular on-time maintenance. The property looks worn out, it didn't feel like it was a Taj property. Minimal in-room dining options — we were there two days and literally had ordered everything. The buffet was substandard — like 5 to 6 items were there. The service was super fast, staff is good. But upgrades needed, a lot of them.

We reached the proprty at 2.20 pm and were requested to wait for half an hour to gwt our rooms ... we kept on waiting and was not even informed of further delays ... after repeatedlt asking them we finally got our rooms qt 3.50pm - really not expected from a Taj property

Me and my husband stayed for 2 nights. - There were frequent electricity cuts which is not expected in a 5 star hotel. - The service was not upto the mark as well as the eatables and utensils requested by the visitors from next room lying near our door for an entire day until we requested to clean it as cats and squirrels started coming in. - For a 5 star hotel, the toiletries provided were too limited as well. Eg: face napkins was not there - There were lizards in balcony due to which we were unable to stay much in balcony too

The property has a very green and peaceful ambience. Mixed review for the staff. Some were very warm and courteous and some were very disrespectful. A big shoutout to Ramvilas from the restaurant. He provided exceptional service and an experience worth remembering. Devaki also deserves a special mention. She was also very attentive and warm. COVID-19 safety measures at the restaurant should definitely be improved. Didnot find it upto the mark. Like all the cutlery was out in open and everyone was Howver
