"Choosing the perfect place to stay in the Maldives is not easy at all, especially with so many top hotels and resort to choose from. However, after much consideration my wife and I selected Taj Exotica as our destination. It was the best choice! What can I say? From the welcoming staff from the airport, to the speedboat transfer and at hotel reception. Our first impressions was everyone in the hotel appeared authentic and genuinely happy to look after us. This was indeed the case throughout our 5 day stay at the hotel. The service, food was immaculate. Shout out to Bilal and Priyantha whipping up amazing cocktails in the Equator bar. Shout out also to the hospital staff at 24 Degrees: Niju, Shaatu, Ismail, Mhelen and others if I forgot your name! They went out with the service each evening at the restaurant from taking time to speak to us about Maldives and their livelihood on the island made the interaction personal and authentic. Thanks to Adam our butler throughout our time here! And the Chinese and Spanish receptionist (apologise I forgot your names)! Apart from the consistent and quality service we received. The facilities was top notch from a fully equipped gym, large infinity pool and plenty of water sport activities. Snorkelling in the lagoon was a top highlight!
Overall, this was one of the best stays we had. We are glad we chose Taj Exotica as our 1st hotel visiting the Maldives. We will certainly aim to return in the near future :) !"

"We spent a week here on our Anniversary trip and have nothing but high praises to give this resort. They meet you at the airport and whisk you away immediately to the private lounge which is air conditioned along with cold drinks, coffee, tea, and water. Once at the lounge our wait for speed boat transfer was very quick and taken care of by the resort completely. The boat ride was about 45 mins, again, refreshments were offered and away we went to paradise. Upon arrival to the resort a warm Maldivian welcome was provided, and we met our personal butler, Forty on the Jetty. Once to reception, a glass of champagne along with a foot and ankle rub was provided. We traveled from US so after 48 hours of flying and traveling these were perfect and hit the spot. We arrived early but luck would be on our side and a villa would be available. We were taken by buggy, given a tour of the island to begin before being taken to our over water villa with pool and absolutely amazed at the views, the amenities, the comfort, everything was perfect. The room has 2 controllable AC units, windows from wall to wall, mini bar, a wine cooler also restocked daily with up to 4 wines. The resort has multiple options for dining, the main being The Palms, it’s the center piece to the dining experience. Buffet options from around the world. 3 other specialty restaurants were available and booked through the butler. Big shout out to Forty, Bikesh, Danielle for providing stellar service through out our trip!"

"Our stay at Velassaru was amazing. We spent 12 days on the island, and did not want to leave... The level of service and dedication of the staff are beyond the words. The hotel is ideal for family or romantic getaway. The island is very small and that makes it really quiet and peaceful. You can see Male as it is really close by, but on the other hand you don't need to spent extra hours for getting to the island. Highly recommend this hotel to all lovers of the tranquil holidays."
"We had an excellent stay. The resort is adult only and quiet. Food was outstanding and the staff was incredible. Guests have access to Dighu resort which is larger and offers more variety. I would highly recommend the hotel."

"Great hotel, from the warm welcome to last farewell everything was smooth and highly enjoyable. We loved the fact the whole island is set in lush greenery and i feels very private despite full occupancy. Staff is extremely friendly and helpfull. We stayed on half board basis and there was always something to choose from.
I am sure there are better resorts for snorkeling but if you you are patient you find some good marine life as well (we did snorkel on the surf beach behind the reception) which we later discovered we were not supposed to do but it was the best.
One thing I’d consider a downside is the restrictions that may feel ovewhelming, like the kids club that only allows playstation for kids only between noon and 2pm, swimming pool opened only till 6pm and the use or only certain beaches for snorkeling."

"The staff is fantastuc, but owners has to upgrade this property, toilet leakage, bargeoom upgrade, TV is not in working condition, most important Safe is not working, broken safe kept in all rooms, no closet to keep your clothes nor any bench to keep your suitcases. This oroperty is not worth in Expedia standard, fake pictures guest get carried away to book it."
