Welcome to Sun Kissed West! This cozy, small dog friendly, Ft Morgan duplex beach cottage is the perfect, affordable choice for your gulf front vacation! The first thing you'll notice when you arrive is the new, expansive deck that will provide you with spectacular sunset views! Imagine yourself on one of the Polywood lounge chairs watching the sun sink below the horizon.

This adorable cottage has an open floor plan with comfortable seating area where you'll get more of that million-dollar view. You'll find counter stools for dining and a full kitchen for fixing simple meals. For those nights when you want to dine out, you can make the 15-minute scenic drive into town or try one of many tasty local options.

The master bedroom features a king bed where you can wake up to the amazing Gulf view. The second bedroom has a full bed and a twin over twin bunk. This home has one full bath and one-half bath. Guests really appreciate the convenience of having a house right on the beach. Returning for drink refills, snacks or quick nap takes just seconds.

Fort Morgan

Located a scenic 15 miles from Gulf Shores, you'll find everything you need close at hand. Dollar General and Sassy Bass Market are just a few miles away and have all the basics you might need. There are several restaurants nearby offering a variety of tasty dishes. Tacky Jack's, Sassy Bass (2 locations), Coast and brand-new Jesse's (opening soon) to name a few. Some venues even offer live, local entertainment.

Fort Morgan fishing pier is now open, and anglers will have access to convenient inshore fishing and the abundant species locally available.

Be sure and visit nearby Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge with over 7,000 acres of coastal habit. You'll be able to hike through the preserve and observe local flora and fauna. There are 4 trails, varying in size and terrain and you'll definitely want to make time to visit this natural oasis.

Wonderful stay!

The property was just as advertised. It was very clean and modern and the arrival process was simple. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay with our 4 kids. The easy beach access was amazing and we enjoyed the outdoor shower area. The short drive to Gulf Shores popular destinations was also a plus. Would absolutely stay here again!

Great Stay

Prefect size place for my family and just steps away from the beach! We plan on coming back. Only advice would be to upgrade your linens and pillows.

Perfect vacation spot

I have stayed at many many properties in Fort Morgan over the years on both the bay & beach side & this was by far my favorite on the beach side.. comfortable & completely equipped with everything you need in the perfect location. Will most definitely be back again!!

Relaxing Vacation

We had a wonderful stay! The immediate beach access was wonderful! . The property is well done and very nice. The only thing was the master bedroom mattress was extremely hard and not very comfortable. That was the only downcheck. Highly recommend it!!!

Just Right!

We actually stayed previously at another property just a few down the beach, but this time it was just me and my husband and we didn’t need a big house. This place was just right not too big for just two and yet big enough for a few more.

Relaxing trip

The unit was just what we expected. So easy to run up from the beach if we forgot something. We took our kayaks and stored them in the parking underneath the house. There was plenty of room for our other beach gear as well.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay. My only complaints:1. Had to sweep up sand from living room when we got there first thing. I am sure it was as small as someone forgetting something and running on to get it and tracking sand in on their feet. But when you are told you cannot access property till a certain time because a cleaning crew has to clean first and then cannot walk barefoot in the unit on first entry because sand is all over, well that is annoying the first 5 minutes of your vacation. This was not just a little grit either. Otherwise spotless. 2. Not a complaint but an annoyance. Would be nice that if there is a gate at the top of the stairs as it did and was appreciated, that it had an appropriate way to keep it latched. There was a bungie chord which kept coming off when releases and was too stretched to try to tie on and then was too shorty. Had no tools so we could not bend one end around the hook to keep it on. The latter would be an easy fix for the next guest with pliers.3. If there was a third, what can you do about the whole vacation being over too **** fast?!!!We had a great time despite the weather.

Good House/GREAT Location/Questionable Management

This house was in a perfect location - only steps from the ocean, beautiful views & only a couple of miles from local stores. As pictured the "master bedroom" has no closet and only 1 small clothing storage area - which for us was a little inconvenient but we made it work. Also there's only 1 full bath that only has a shower - no tub. We made that work too, but with 2 small children that also was a little inconvenient but overall the house was good for a small family. We did have to clean the sink good before thawing out our food for the night when we first arrived - sink was left with a dirty film. And after a couple of nights there we did notice a couple of good sized bugs. I mentioned this to management and they stated that extra pest control measures would be taken. **After we left I got an email stating that my card was going to be charged $89 because there was a hole in the king comforter and a picture attached. I emailed back stating I didn't agree with the charges because I'm certain that did not happen while we were there - they insist it did. I didn't take photos upon arrival or departure. After emailing back and forth with management they stated that they weren't going to charge my card but this whole situation made me very angry. My family has been renting beach houses in the Fort Morgan area for over 15yrs. Never have we EVER been accused of messing up property or charged for anything upon departure. So sadly, I will not rent from this company in the future.

Amazing place for a relaxing beach weekend.

Private, right on the ocean, clean, and comfortable. We laid out on the deck, watched dolphins play the the morning, enjoyed the ocean, and had a completely relaxing, wonderful weekend here that was everything we could have hoped.
