"The one bedroom , one bath house was tastefully decorated and remodeled with beautiful furnishings that were comfortable. Kitchen fully stocked with everything one needs . Beautiful bathroom with standing shower . 3 season reading porch , lovely garden with Adirondack chairs , wooden dining table and string of lights creating lovely ambiance. Parking at their driveway. Walking distance to the center of town -the green with lots of cafes , restaurant's and shopping . Jacob’s beach small but really great with benches , Adirondack chairs ,lots of options for kids to enjoy , drive 3 minutes or walk 25 minutes to get there. It’s safe and quiet neighborhood. I travel solo for family events and friends get together and this place felt like my home . Comfortable bed and dark shade windows made my sleep great .
Hosts were terrific , helpful and answered my questions in a very speedy manner! It was wonderful place , home away from home and I would love to be back there again in my future travels. Thanks again!!"

"What a magical property. We were in town for a wedding and this was a great getaway from the craziness of the wedding party. It has tremendous private areas for our guests to get away for privacy and the pool was a great gathering place. It did not feel like a rental home, it felt like the owner invited over to stay and they stepped away. It had history and was equipped to host a large gathering. We could help sharing the info on the house with people who lived in the area and are looking for a place to put guests, we can't say enough nice things! thanks again Dan and Lisa."

"This Guildford home is set in the woods with spectacular views from all the large windows in every room. The hosts met us on arrival to explain various things and answer our questions. It was clean throughout and the beds were very comfortable. Guildford is an historic New England town with many nearby attractions including beaches. We enjoyed our stay. "

"Our family of five stayed here for four months. I have only wonderful things to say about this house, the town of Guilford, and our hosts, Starlet and James. The house is a mid-century retreat set in a beautiful forest. We saw deer, squirrels, and chipmunks, and enjoyed the sounds of owls and coyotes (in the distance) at night. The kitchen and main bathroom are brand new and gorgeous! The kids loved the large soaking tub, and we loved cooking meals in the perfectly appointed kitchen. It had everything we needed and then some. The three bedrooms have comfortable beds and plenty of storage. There is a spacious office and a great sunroom - we used it as a workout room. The heating and AC are new and comfortable. The hot water is endless! Again, we can only say good things! In our time in Guilford, we became friendly with the neighbors, enjoyed gorgeous walks around the shoreline (Chaffinch Island Park is a quick stroll away, as well as Barbara Pine beach.) Guilford is the cutest New England town with friendly residents, great shops and restaurants, and easy access to the 95. My husband commuted into Yale on the train which was very convenient and quick. (It’s also a quick 22-ish minute drive.) During our stay, Starlet and James were perfect hosts: very responsive to all messages, thoughtful in letting us know when to expect yard work or maintenance. The heater stopped working once and a repairman was there within a few hours to replace the filter. I recommend this house 100%!"
