A lovely boutique hotel on the bus route for the city. It is full of character & although on main road we both slept like logs! V comfy bed .

Très basique. Strict minimum. Pour une nuit seulement.

Great location and a wonderful place to stay. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the virtual check-in process was seamless and hassle-free. We stayed as a family of four and had a fantastic experience. The only downside is that there are no elevators, so carrying heavy luggage upstairs can be challenging. We had several large suitcases ourselves, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker for us. The excellent location, roomy accommodations, and smooth overall experience more than made up for that minor inconvenience. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

Great Nostalgic hotel, beautifully appointed rooms and the location was perfect to visit the city of Edinburgh.

This hotel was very disappointing. The hallway always smells like hot garbage because of a poorly placed garbage shoot. The room itself was okay but felt very old. A large bed turned out to be two smaller mattresses pushed together (uncomfortable). The shower was really bad, only a very weak overhead shower that changed from hot to cold, cracked old tiles, and a very strong smell of sewer coming from the drain. It got so bad that we asked if there is something to be done and they just poured bleach on it (so when we got back it smelled of both sewer and bleach). When we checked out we were waiting to be asked about it or be somehow compensated, as they previously suggested after they couldn’t resolve the issue, but the women didn’t ask a single question about our stay.
