It's a unique property, in the mid of historic old part of Quito. Like the vibe of the old city around the place. Nice layout and upper level dining area has a beautiful view of the city and the landmark Angel, thus the name of the business.

My sister is unable to climb stairs. They gave us a room on the ground floor. The room and beds were good. They set up transportation to the airport for us. Overall it was a good stay.

The staff went out of there way to accommodate me:) When I arrived, it was late in the evening and I was very tired & hungry but didn’t want to walk the streets at night! So the manager asked me what I liked! I told him Asian. Within 25 minutes Asian order-in arrived and the manager delivered me the meal at a very reasonable price! I was delighted:) In the morning, I asked if continental breakfast was included and it was not. However, the staff went out of their way and offered me a very nice breakfast for a super reasonable fee. They were kind and very helpful! When I come to Guayaquil, IM certainly staying at the Hotel Suites again!

I reserved with Hoteles Guayaquil Suites. Expedia gave me a itinerary number but I got no confirmation number from the hotel. Weeks before my arrival I contacted the hotel to asked some questions and Yolanda kindly answered them. On the arrival day, I went to the hotel address but they did not have my reservation. I contacted Yolanda using WhatsApp and she told me that the address was wrong on Expedia. 30 minutes later, she came to pick me up and brought me to another close by hotel that had my reservation: Air Suites. The hotel was just ok, room was small and clean but corridor and neighborhood was very noisy. This was a confusing experience but Yolanda made it better.

El personal de la propiedad muy atento, antes de llegar se comunicaron conmigo y me contestaron todas mis preguntas. Tanto la Sra. Yolanda como el chico de la recepción. Parking dentro de la propiedad, servicio de laundry. El desayuno caliente. El check in rápido, aire acondicionado y la cama muy cómoda. Lo recomiendo.

Charge me $40 for this ! And the receptionist lady was so rude. I couldn’t get breakfast because supposedly it was until 9:00 am I got to the reception at 9:03 !never staying there again

Me gusto que el lugar esta limpio, buena ubicacion, cerca del aeropuerto. No me gusto que fui al counter en la noche a solicitar una frisa extra y el caballero que me atendio me dijo que bajara el aire, le dije que esa era un opcion pero no podia, me indico que el Hotel estaba lleno y que no tenian mas frisas. Me parecio una excusa.

Disappointing

Well, first of all, without warning, we were told on our day of arrival that the hotel is actually close for “ maintenance “ which meant alternative hotels were options but their addresses were not findable or the quality below acceptable. We ended up kissing off the entire cost & reservation and stay at The Holiday Inn , which was great. Hotels.com offered no help so in the future just book at a Holiday Inn.

Limpio, cómodo y acogedor. Ubicación conveniente, cerca del aeropuerto. Buen desayuno incluído en la tarifa. Excelente servicio y actitud de la persona en recepción, presta a resolver dudas y ayudar. La comunicación por WhatsApp puede mejorarse, ya que varias personas manejan distintos números y no parecen muy coordinadas. Definitivamente volveré.

Cuando llegue al hotel, el “señor” que estaba en la recepción me indicó que el hotel estaba lleno, y que ya llamaba un taxi para que me lleven a una hostal!! Que la reservación no la había visto !! Que clase de hotelucho este.

I chose this property based on this recommendation on the website of Hospital de la Mujer, where my daughter was in the ICU due to severe preeclampsia - "Suites Guayaquil is located in front of the Guayaquil Airport, 2 minutes from the Hospital de la Mujer". NOT TRUE. I booked this property and was actually somehow given a room in Hostal Murali, which is a $3-5 dollar cab ride away from the hospital. I was VERY happy with the hotel - the grounds, the room, the common areas, the staff, the breakfast. It was wonderful. But is was much further from the Hospital than I was led to believe. I would have minded less if they had said "a 3-bedded room is only available at our associated property, Hostal Murali." But they did not. If I had the occasion to need a room in Guayaquil for another reason, I would definitely consider the Hostal Murali. One more thing - I was whatsapped by a taxi driver for the hotel who came to the airport with a sign with my name on, helped me with my bags, and delivered me to the hotel for what I recall was $5.00. As a frequent traveler to Ecuador, I LOVED this service. But most taxi drivers could not find Hostal Murali and there is no sign. Yet...the property is a former private house and the carved wood doors and etched glass doors were exquisite...and there was a lovely small garden adjacent to the breakfast area. And TBH the breakfast was excellent, especially compared to the hotel I moved to to be closer to the hospital.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

This placed left me stranded in a foreign country at midnight after travelling for 20 hours. they tried to cover themselves by emailing me the day I was travelling.I had no access to email that day. When I say cover themselves. my sister who speaks fluent Spanish talked to them two days in a row before I arrived. " Yes he's coming, you have his reservation correct?" They said "Timothy, yes we're expecting him." The next day "Can you pick him up at the airport?" They said "Yes it's $5.00" NO CAR,NO ROOM NOTHING! They left me at the mercy of a cab driver at midnight in a foreign country. Hotels.com should remove them and never do business with them again.
