"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Emotions Juan Dolio in late August 2026! It was our first time with the Emotions chain. We booked very last minute and were extremely happy with our choice. While much of the DR’s east coast was buried in seaweed from Miches to La Romana, Juan Dolio had beautiful clear water and a seaweed-free beach. As beach people, it was absolutely worth the 1.5-hour drive from the airport. The staff were amazing throughout the resort — from reception to the gardeners, everyone was friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Samir at Ola Lola beach bar and Celeste, our room attendant, who made our stay extra special. The food was very good at the buffet and all à la carte restaurants we tried. After many trips to the DR, this was the first time I had no stomach issues at all, which says a lot about the hygiene standards across the resort. We also loved the air-conditioned coffee shop with its hot and cold coffees and pastries — an absolute pleasure! We upgraded to a sea-view room in Building 1 and loved the VIP area, our terrace and the additional perks. Overall, an unknown, last-minute choice that exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely check Emotions hotels for future vacations. Amazing customer service!"

"My 10 nights stay at this beautiful villa was nothing short of amazing. Indoors and outdoors was huge with plenty of green areas with beautiful ornamental and fruit trees. It has 5 bathrooms including an outdoor bath and a huge, beautiful master bath. Master bedroom has blackout curtains and a seating area. Livingroom was a little warm unless you're being hit by the fan, but who wants to be indoors with such beautiful green areas outside. It has an outdoor kitchen with huge pots for large group. My family was amazed by the pest control, NO mosquitos! Just some drunk wasps that seem to get thirsty before they drawn in the pool, my family didn't mind them cause were just dying and nobody got stung. The villa has a huge concrete fence that keeps you separated from everything once you're inside and the gate is only opened by Jairo who is very diligent to open it once you text him. Jairo is excellent at what he does; he is the security guard, maintenance, landscaper, and chauffeur if needed. There is a minivan in the property if you don't feel like driving your own vehicle. Any issues or suggestions, just go to him as there's nothing, he wouldn't do to make your stay better. I would definitely recommend this villa and will return if I have a chance."
