"I loved it, the cactus garden outside my bedroom window, the rustic nature of the place and our host's care and friendliness. The place was clean, with a well equipped kitchen including a water filter tap. Lovely to be able to light a fire in the stove when chilly in the evening. Gautiza is very pretty and quiet. Discovered an area to swim nearby towards the end of the trip. And a wonderful coastal walk. The location is great. Highly recommend Sylvia's as a place to stay. "

"Pros: We really enjoyed the stay. The location was perfect for us with a short drive to everywhere (having a rented car). The little sitting place in front of the house is absolutely gorgeous - I have not felt relaxed like this in a long time. It's completely quiet at night. Oscar and his parents were lovely and very helpful. Their recommendations of restaurants were spot on. If we ever come back to Lanzarote, we'll definitely stay there again. "Truly fantastic stay, the room upgrade was a welcome surprise. Every single member of staff was friendly and welcoming. The a la carte breakfast menu in the preferred area was extensive and the food was cooked to perfection everyday. Minor areas for improvement would be the location of the smoking area near the preferred outside space, it was a little too close to some of the sun beds. The mattress was also a little too firm for us, although we realise this is a personal preference. Otherwise we would not change a thing, one of the best hotels we have stayed in so we will return at some point. "
