A great location looking out at kirkjufell. The room was clean, and the shared kitchen was great for sitting and relaxing with the view. There were plenty of places to walk to in town as well. We had a great time, would stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at Stöð Guesthouse & Apartments in Grundarfjörður. The place was very clean, quiet, and felt cozy and well looked after. The best part was our room’s view of Kirkjufell—waking up to that scenery was unreal. Having access to a well-equipped kitchen was also super convenient after long days exploring Snæfellsnes.

No reception so needed to call for check in. He was there in 2 minutes. Great common space with coffee grounds ready for a coffee pot in the morning, Swiss Miss for the kiddos. Room was big, clean, great showers, and awesome for a family of 4! (We had a family room). 2 bunk beds and two twins pushed together for a king.

Calm and beautiful

The aera was very calm, and the view was beautiful. Right next to the guesthouse was an amazing restaurant. This room had the best black-out curtains for blocking out the continuous summer light. We were also reccomended a very cozy cafe as well.

The room was comfortable, clean and the property has amazing views. We had our own bathroom, which is rare with these budget hostels in Iceland. So that was a big plus. HOWEVER, our twin beds were pushed together, with shared bed-sheets, so we didn't have the option to separate the beds. The staff never responded to any of our messages (asking for another set of bed-sheets). The kitchen had a coffee machine, but no coffee, which was a surprise (all other hostels had some basic tea and coffee available).

Stir guesthouse was lovely! The woman who checked us in was extremely kind and super helpful! The guesthouse is one of the movies ones we stayed at in Iceland. The common area is spacious and has a wonderful view of the ocean and Kikrjufell! The room was clean and cute, with an incredible view of the ocean and mountains! The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom is a little tight but it was just fine for one night. I felt very safe there

Spotless and nice smell building to me as a sensitive allergic person. I found out Iceland air is so fresh and clean, dust free not like in my Florida now with tiny dust in the air. self checking was super easy and I feel safe eventhough I came late at 3:30 AM. shared kichen with full amenties and coffee machine with availble of brown non-bleach coffee filter paper! amazing all the Iceland's guesthouse I stayed during my 2 weeks: they all use this brown coffee filter cup! They sort the composite trash too. Feel very comfortable with the house amenity and staffs. Cozy and comfortable beds. The cleaning lady found my earing lost on bed and returned it to me too.

The hotel proprietor was kind and friendly when he let us in after regular check in hours. The room was clean and comfortable. We loved that there was a well equipped, shared kitchen that had a large seating area. It was a great space to eat our grocery bought food after a long day of driving and sightseeing. It is located right by the water and a nice place to take a relaxing stroll.

Great location just between glacier lagoon and Stokksnes. Staff was very helpful, making my stay feeling very homey, really great people around. I was in a large room with wonderful view of mountains and glacier.

This was a great place to stay during our visit to Iceland.We enjoyed the communal kitchen area since we were able to interact with the other guests but had a private bedroom and bath. The kitchen was very well equipped and the whole place was very neat and clean. Great view from our room too.
