It's a pretty nice place. Breakfast was basic but good. Staff was pretty friendly and some of them spoke English. Nothing fancy about the rooms we rented, they were singles, but some had balconies. Best part was the area.

This property was beautiful and had great views. We really enjoyed staying here however the one thing we wish we would’ve known before booking was that our room didn’t have a shower like shown in the property’s pictures. Our room had a bathtub with a shower hose but you couldn’t shower as there was no curtains or doors.

Stayed there three nights. Old facility, but quaint and well-kept. Breakfast was tops! Restaurant was decent and convenient. Bus stop to Salzburg was about a block away. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Wonderful for family
This is beautifully located in a Grossgmain. The scenery around the hotel is amazing and it is very close to the bus stop. My husband and I enjoyed running around to explore the town.

Liked: Breakfast was great with a variety of food. The garden was pretty. Didn't like: The hotel is much older than it appears to be online, it could use a renovation or at least changing the photos online. The room I received was dirty - I had 2 long pubic hairs in the shower, a stained pillow case and a few spider webs. Additionally, there's a church right in front of the room which rings every 15 minutes, and at 7 am it rings for at least 3 minutes.

Not bad but there is room for improvement.
The stay was OK, but not great. The staff were friendly and the service was good. The food was pretty good too. However, the beds were stiff and uncomfortable. And they made a LOT of noise while moving about, enough to wake up my partner just to find a comfortable position. There was no shower head attached high enough so, we had to use the manual shower head with one hand while bathing with the other one. Very inconvenient. Then finally, the cleaning lady came into our room completely unnanounced, without first knocking or checking if there was anyone inside first. Very awkward.

Awesome hidden gem with lots of outdoor space
We really loved staying at this spot! It's literally right by the border, and it's a great location if you're going to the Konigsee area - just a beautiful 20 min drive away! It's also quite close to Salzburg. The hotel itself was awesome. Pretty modern, amazing breakfast with lots of fresh food, and a great outdoor space. The hotel even helped us out with room service. We'd totally stay here again!

Nice but old
The hotel is located next to the border, the location is good, although quite noisy. It is located right next to a church and the main road. The windows are not thick enough to sustain the noise from outside. The hotel itself is nice but relatively old. The room was small. The Breakfast was nice and sufficient and they have a nice outdoor siting area.

Location is perfect, only 20 minutes drive from Salzburg and you enjoy the exceptional beauty of the Austrian Alps. Parking is easy, restaurant has variety of local dishes and wahtever we had, we enjoyed them all. Kids friendly place with spacious room.

Amazing little hotel! Very clean, excellent breakfast, quiet little town. We loved everything about our stay! The only thing is we happened to be there when they had a heat wave, so a fan in the room would have been nice. We will definitely come back!!

Church Bells!!!!
I booked two rooms. When arriving I requested a quite room. They changed my room at check-in to a room over the garden (where everyone congregates for dinner and drinks) but the room my traveling companions received was on floor directly across from church and the bells rang every 15 minutes starting at 7:00am through10:00pm. Please be aware!

My experience was pretty good. I got of the train in Salzburg and thankfully there was a bus to go towards the city where the hotel is at. The bus does run every hour to every 2 hours on the weekend though so watch out for that. Every morning the breakfast was delicious and amazing. Thank you for a plesant stay.

Great view from our room. Small town so not much to do but a great location as a home base for Eagles Nest, Salzburg, etc. Room was large (3 adults) and had a twin sleep sofa and a double twin together. Modern bathroom. The on-site restaurant had a great selection of German and Austrian dishes. Food was fresh and delicious. Included breakfast offered a good selection of breads, pretzels, cold meats and cheeses, fruit, yogurt juices and coffee ( espresso, cappuccino, etc.). Would definitely stay her again.

Historic Building in Quiet Village near Salzburg
Charming inn in quiet village 30 minutes outside of Salzburg. Outstanding restaurant with terrace dining and English menu. Many rooms offer balconies with Alpine mountain views. Spacious rooms and plenty of free parking. Awkward showers that make a wet mess.

Beautiful retreat steps from the mountains.
Simple and clean Gasthaus in an absolutely gorgeous part of Germany/Austria (about 50 yards from the border) with easy access to Salzburg, Bad Reichenhall and Berchtesgaden. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Good areas to go jogging.There is even your very own 12th century castle (Plainburg) to explore within walking distance of the hotel.

Hotel in Nature- perfect!
Great hotel with awesome views of the mountains. Not much going on in the little town, but was so fun to walk around and see some of the cute buildings and natural area. Breakfast was great as well!!
