"Lovely place to stay. We arrived late for a quick stop over after our flight. Everything was easy and well organised. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was lovely and the pool was gorgeous. I would definitely go back!"

"Although clean (and the bed comfortable), the main problem with my room was a terrible stench that seemed to emerge from the direction of the air conditioner and which lingered in the room despite airing it. I thought at first this was a result of seaside heat and humidity, so I didn't report the smell. A few days later, when I opened the safe the day before my departure, my passport and other valuables were wet. That is when I realized that the nasty odor was due to chronic leaking of the AC and the water dripping and seeping into the closet and woodwork right under the AC, including the metal safe attached to the wall of the closet!! I had an early departure the day after, so I didn't have time to complain, but other reviews have reported similar bad smells, and if AC leaks are also the problem, then something needs to be done. You don't want people's valuables and passports to get wet inside the safe that's meant to protect them. On the upside, the hotel provides a shuttle service (a "navette") to and from the Ajaccio airport, which is convenient. Also, you can take the beach shuttle right outside the hotel, which will get you to various beaches in the "Rive Sud." "

"Nous avons passé un mois magnifique dans cette belle villa à Porticcio. Nous avons eu un très bon accueil par Nuno qui a été toujours disponible tout au long de notre séjour pour différentes petites demandes. La villa est très bien équipée. Tout est fonctionnel pour faciliter le quotidien. La vue est époustouflante, de jour comme de nuit, et on ne s'en lasse pas. Durant notre séjour, le propriétaire a fait installer, à notre demande, une meilleure connexion wifi, ce qui a été grandement apprécié. La villa est dans une très belle résidence et on peut aller à la plage et au centre de Porticcio à pied (c'est quand même une bonne marche dont une petite partie au bord de la route et une bonne côte à monter pour le retour, ce qui est un très bon exercice !). La piscine est très agréable et assez grande pour nager. Nous recommandons cette villa à 100% et un grand merci au propriétaire et à Nuno :-)"

"Hotel Motel Porticcio has a unique layout with reception, some rooms and breakfast facilities, free parking in the building close to the promenade with a wide choice of restaurants, bars and bakeries along the length of the beautiful beach. The Hotel Porticcio then has 3 more small buildings of modern apartments spaced on the slope behind, each with own free parking for the guests. As a couple with our small dog with us we were upgraded to a studio apartment in the 4th block with its own fenced, small terrace and garden with sea view which was perfect. We could walk less than 100 metres to the main building to be warmly welcomed by Stephanie who served us a fresh continental breakfast indoors, as mornings were a bit cooler mid-end September. In summer it is served in a pleasant roofed area outdoors. Les Chênes is a quiet private road to only a few properties. The studio had a kitchenette area with double ceramic hob, microwave and fridge. I wasn't planning on cooking this holiday but it was great to be able to have hot or cold drinks and snacks. The bed was very comfortable and clean. There's a small wardrobe, with shelves and drawers. A dining table 2 chairs plus outside a small patio table, chairs, sunbed and airer for drying beachwear and towels. The bathroom was very good and clean with handbasin, shower cubicle and w.c. Gemma, the receptionist was always cheerful and helpful and any other staff and the owner friendly too. No wonder this is a busy hotel without crowds."
