Waterfront Retreat, Lake Limestone

  • Welcome to our waterfront retreat. Enjoy the peaceful quiet setting . You can surely get that ahhhhh moment relaxing on the back porch with the water just a few feet away. Take the opportunity to sit on the pier at night and enjoy the breeze blowing across the lake. Bring the kids and fish from the pier, swim, and bring along your kayak and enjoying great paddling right in front of the house. The slow sloping, smooth sandy bottom, is ideal for kids who love the water. Pull your boat up to the pier and enjoy the entire lake. Bring your jug lines and fill up on catfish. You'll find a fish cleaning station on the covered patio. Pellet smoker/gas grill combo awaits on the back porch. Two queen beds and the third bedroom has 2 twin beds. There is a queen and a twin inflatable mattresses available if needed. Be sure to check out the updates that we have done during this spring of 2022. The cabinets and countertops have been updated throughout the house. The big addition is a new sun deck and french doors accessing the deck from the 2 lakeside bedrooms! For those that just have to have a television during their getaway, we have wifi and a large screen tv in the living room, dvd player and a large selection of dvds. I'll be glad to provide as much information as I can about the excellent fishing, local bait shop, catching your own bait, local grocery store and more.

Robert was generous and forthcoming with the info needed for our stay. Don’t let the outside appearance of the cabin fool you; the inside has been redone and was comfortable for my family, providing all the amenities needed for a fun stay. Great fire pit in the backyard and many fish were caught from the dock. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Great place for fishing!

Our family has now stayed here 2 years in a row, and the fishing has been great both times. The house is as listed and it is comfortable and perfect for a fishing weekend. The owner is super responsive.

Week on the lake

My husband and I had a beautiful week on Lake Limestone. The October weather was warm and the lake inviting. The house was clean and well furnished, even some basic supplies were left in the kitchen for guests to use. Overall, we had a fine stay.

If you are a fisherman, look no further. The house has everything you need, and a ramp is only a few minutes away. There is ample parking, and you can catch fish in front of the house. Enjoy your stay!!

we enjoyed the stay. The fishing was great. All the food and puzzles and games were fun. The only problem we had was with the nest thermostat. Not one of us ever had a nest thermostat we had trouble trying to set it. But it all worked out in the end.

Stumbled upon this listing while browsing waterfront properties, what a lucky find! My boyfriend and I spent labor day weekend with our pups. Better in person than pictures! Quiet, relaxing, just perfect. House has everything youd need for your stay. Swam, fished and enjoyed the lake front breeze.

The house is better than described, and the lake views are fantastic. The yard has plenty of room for a boat. The real gem is the owner, Robert. He was available and gracious. There was nothing we lacked. We will be back!!

Wonderful fishing retreat!!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. We fished, swam, lounged on the deck and porch and overall just relaxed and had fun!! The house had everything we needed for the meals we brought to cook and the beds were very comfortable. A/C worked great, which is always a plus in this Texas summer heat. We caught fish all day long from the pier and were able to use our cast net to get shad to use for bait. All done without leaving the premises, no boat needed!! We will definitely book this place again in the future.

What a relaxing weekend.

It was a perfect midway point between Houston and Fort Worth. Water was a nice temperature with cool spots easily found. We tried to paddle boat across lake, made it halfway and headed back. House has all appliances and we used them all. We had zero issue with house staying cool while it was 103 outside. The morning view from balcony can’t be beat. We’ll be back.

Despite the bad weather, we had a great time there. When it finally warmed up, caught a six pound blue cat, a pretty nice sized gaspar goo and a bunch of little channel cats.

Excellent fishing place!

We go on an annual fishing trip with our elder parents. They have so much fun at this place and the fishing never disappoints. The place is nice, the movie selection is great. We look forward to staying here every year!!
