"Our stay was very enjoyable. We loved the hotel; it's quite interesting and has a distinct Viking atmosphere. We stayed in there newly renovated room. It's beautiful!"
"Great location! Wish we could’ve stayed another night. It’s out of the city and so peaceful. Loved the views of ocean and mountains around us. Hot tub and sauna were clean and warm. The room itself was clean and spacious."
"The property was as expected.. quite nice..
But on sunny days the sun beats down on the inside & it gets quite hot....
... so roll the shade down for sunny days.
The in floor heating was very slow in getting up to temp..
.. the provided space heater helped."
"The concierge was outstanding and the room was as well appointed with high end L’Occitaine shower products. Dinner was wonderful at Max’s. Breakfast was just okay with very basic fruit, plain crepes, and a lack of variety in the offerings. The thermostat in the rooms were set to 75 degrees, far too warm for a restful sleep. The spa was acceptable however there was no hot spring or complimentary access to the Blue Lagoon next door. It was exciting to be staying on the sight of a volcanic powered geothermal plant. The Grindavik magma field is directly out of our hotel window. If the breakfast is improved and room service added along with a plunge pool or hot spring soaking this will be a 5 star stay. We appreciated the exceylocation to Reykjavík and nearby natural wonders which were breathtakingly beautiful."
"Everything about this hotel was great. I run a fly fishing travel agency and, based on my stay here, will use this place for many of my customers in the future."
"The hotel is nice over all . Some details are missed that are inconvenient. Need more than the one garbage in the bathroom. Need a shelf in the shower for your products . Need a way to turn the heat down. Better way to use the hot tub ."
