Unfortunely for me, my room was the one on the main road and I am a light sleeper, so sleep was not the best experience so agreed with host to reserve a room at the back of the Mas for my next stay. "We were really impressed with this hotel. We have toured France for three weeks, Bergerac was our last stop. Having stayed in boutique accommodation with Michelin star restaurants and paid through the nose for it, it was a refreshing change to get good value for money at an equally good hotel like this one. From a great central location you can wander to the beautiful old town easily on foot. The checkin was quick and easy. We took advantage of the garage parking, although there is plenty of metered parking right outside the hotel. The rooms had everything you could need and look to have had a nice recent refurb as decor and electrical items all looked new. The staff were approachable and friendly and if in this part of France in the future we would definitely choose to stay at Hotel de France again."
