We were really looking forward to our stay at the great Canadian casino and resort, it was a short stay only one night for a concert at downsview. Unfortunately it was very delayed getting onto the hotel property due to a strike occurring with the security staff. An email was sent out when the strike first started to inform me however that was 3 weeks prior to our stay. I didn’t hear an update so I thought it would have been over. When we got to the resort, they had blocked off all entrances and were only letting 2 cars in every 15 minutes. This made us extremely late for our night unfortunately. I understand standing up for fair wages, etc but for the hotel to allow this was crazy to me. Our hotel room was great, amazing view of the racetrack and very clean unfortunately with limited time we were unable to explore the resort as planned.

Hotel was beautiful, everyone was very friendly and attentive. Great location, easy to walk to most things. Amazing free breakfast in the morning, could not believe how many items were offered. By far the best hotel breakfast we have ever had, and we stay in hotels a lot! Beds were comfortable, room was modern and clean. Excellent experience, would definitely stay here again!

There was some makeup on the sheets when we arrived. They did look like they were washed but they were definitely stained. (Not sure if they just rotated the sheets because the makeup was down toward the foot of the bed) I’ve stayed here before and the last room I was in was better maintained. The ceiling had damage in the bedroom and the entryway had a lot of dings and scuffs on the walls. It would have been nice to use the balcony as well, but the door is locked. Otherwise, good!

The hotel is undergoing Reno’s. When you come in through valet - you tend to have a real time finding the correct directions that get you to the front. Better signage would be great.
The hospitality is always top notch and wonderful. Issues with the AC was remedied as soon as possible, always a dream and pleasure to stay at this hotel.
