"This was such a pretty boutique hotel! The owner, Harald was amazing- so kind and gracious! My teen daughters and I had been to 4 hotels in 4 days and we all agreed that this room was the best! Honestly, I thought I had booked right next to the airport (it is a 5 minute drive but would’ve been a 40 minute walk), and considered cancelling when I realized my mistake, but I’m glad I didn’t! "The neighborhood is lovely - quiet, with tree-lined streets and many restored Jugenstil houses - but only two blocks from a streetcar stop with quick connections to the centre of the city. I came to Halle for a special exhibit at the archaeology museum, and was pleased that the Pension was only two tram stops away."

"Be aware that the hotel reception close down at 19:00 and if you haven’t checked-in by then you have to find another place to stay. I travel a lot but rarely see this rigid routine. Normally there is an option to collect your key in a coded box or something after the reception is closed. But okay, fair enough, it’s my mistake to not follow these rules. But no card payment in 2025?! That’s a big drawback which easily can be fixed. You leave it to your guests to spend 30 minutes to find an ATM...

"I did not stay at Domero Hotel. On the day of arrival I was contacted that they would not have a room for me because of construction. They did transfer my reservation to Hotel Schwizer Hof which was around the corner. So this review is for The Hotel Schweizer Hof."
