About this property
The Willis House Historic Home Retreat on 6 Acres and 35 Live Oak Trees
Get away from the city and enjoy this unique one of a kind property built in 1917. Newly remodeled with the essential modern conveniences. Enjoy the view from one of the many porches. Eat in kitchen screen porch with the view of the oak trees is the perfect place for breakfast. Large kitchen for cooking or gatherings. The home is so large, nearly 6000 sq feet H/C, each guest will find their own space to disappear and relax for a while. Even spreading out to the 4000 sq foot of porches. Board games and cards are available to play in the game room or any of the many tables throughout the house.
The property is a great place to walk and admire the 200 + year old oak trees. There were 6 original out buildings on the property and you can see the remnants of 5 of them. Hurricane Michael destroyed or damaged all of them in some way in 2018. All built around the civil war era. The property is very peaceful and perfect for a family gathering or office retreat. With 6 bedrooms there is room for everyone. Enjoy the outside on the brick patio.
The house is located in Greenwood FL which is centrally located to Dothan, AL, Tallahassee, FL, Panama City, FL (all within an hour drive) and Pensacola, FL (two hour drive). The closest town is Marianna FL about 10 min drive with shopping and larger grocery stores.
