About this property

Paris Mtn Retreat: HotTub, Firepit, Dog-Friendly

  • The Ridge at Paris Mountain is a reimagined single-level home with a large fenced in backyard providing ample space inside and out, easy for every age to navigate, with room for the whole group to spread out or enjoy time together.

Inside, a fresh, contemporary feel throughout, full of character and thoughtful design. The open kitchen, dining, and living area is the heart of the home: a quartz island with prep sink and bar seating, a new electric range, stainless appliances, and a striking exposed-brick accent…plus a sunlit breakfast nook with an extra window-side bar with stools, so there's a seat for everyone. Coffee lovers are covered with a Keurig and a drip maker combo, a Nespresso machine, and a pour over and French press to meet every connoisseur's needs. Locally themed art (Paris Mountain, the Swamp Rabbit Trail, Falls Gate Park) nods to everything just outside the door.

The expansive primary suite is a true retreat with a king bed, a cosy sitting area with reading chair, a smart TV, and a decorative fireplace as a centrepiece. Tucked nearby is a dedicated workspace with a desk and reading chair, ideal for anyone mixing a little remote work into the getaway. There is a dog bed, crate, and a Pack-n-Play located in the bedroom as well.

The two full bathrooms are full of personality: one moody and spa-like with dark tile and a rainfall shower, the other a showstopping double-vanity bath, "The Loo at The Ridge," with art-deco wallpaper, starburst tile, and a vintage soaking tub. Both are stocked with fresh towels, a hair dryer, and refillable shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

For downtime, a built-in shelf is loaded with books and board games (chess, Scrabble, UNO, cards, and more) for easy family evenings in.

    Where everyone sleeps:

    Bedroom 1: King - with Pack-n-Play

    Bedroom 2: King

    Bedroom 3: King

    Bedroom 4: Queen

Out back is where The Ridge earns its name.

The fenced backyard is built for togetherness: settle into the spa pool under the louvered pergola, gather around the firepit as the evening cools, fire up the grill, and spread out at the outdoor dining and seating areas. There's even a cornhole court for a little friendly competition and a pair of hammocks strung among the trees for slow afternoons. And because the yard is fully fenced, kids and dogs have room to roam. Set up a Bucket Golf course and see how you do on your bespoke “Back 6.”

The location is the quiet kind of special: Paris Mountain State Park's hiking, biking, and picnicking just up the road, yet city centre Greenville, Falls Park, Travellers Rest, and the Swamp Rabbit Trail all within easy reach.

Getting around (drive times from The Ridge):

    - Paris Mountain State Park - 4 min

    - Swamp Rabbit Trail (via Gateway Park) - 13 min

    - Furman University - 15 min

    - Travellers Rest - 11 min

    - City centre Greenville - 19 min

    - Falls Park on the Reedy - 20 min

    - GSP Airport ~25 min

    - Table Rock State Park / "Pretty Place" Chapel ~45 min

Guests enjoy the entire main level of the home plus the fenced backyard. The garage is not included, and there's a small locked owner's closet in one bedroom... everything else is yours for the stay.

    - There are a few stairs up to the front door

    - Dogs are welcome (2 max) with a few breed guidelines for insurance reasons (see House Rules).

    - We provide dog poop bags to make cleanup easy, and some dog treats and leashes to make your furry friends feel welcome too.

    - Quiet hours are 10 PM – 8 AM. This is a friendly, family area; you'll see neighbors out walking with dogs and strollers throughout the day, so please drive slowly and obey the speed limit for everyone's safety.

    - For your awareness, there is a Ring doorbell camera at the front entrance (exterior only). There are no cameras inside the home.

    - The indoor fireplace is decorative only. Please enjoy the electric fireplace in the living room for ambiance and warmth, as needed..

    - Several bathrooms feature characterful vintage and art-deco design (including a retro soaking tub) — part of the home's charm, not a defect.

We loved the home and enjoyed our stay. We were in town for Furman homecoming and the home was a great location for our family and activities on campus. No detail was missed; clean and cozy. Even enjoyed some bucket golf in the backyard with the kids. Our hosts were super responsive and we appreciated their wonderful hospitality! We’ll be back for sure!
