This house had everything we needed and more. Exceeded expectations was spotless and the ducks were such a joy. Us adults and the children loved it. Will be coming back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our family. The home is fully equipped, clean, more spacious than the pictures show. Very comfortable beds! Daily feeding of the ducks with our two year old, Going on hikes in the national park right across from the home.
Very thoughtful touches like welcome package and daily food for the ducks.
Our family of six really enjoyed our time. The house was very clean and well appointed, with lots of thoughtful touches. Bess was very attentive to any needs that came up during our stay. Would highly recommend staying here.
This was a great location for our family reunion that included a lot of cooking and trips to the local state park. The home is very comfortable and well-organized. We looked forward to feeing the ducks daily.
The house was clean. The beds were comfortable. There is a nice selection of board games which our family enjoyed. Lots of places to sit, eat, and play. My kids enjoyed feeding the ducks. I would recommend this place.
We loved this place. It had plenty room for four adults, and friends that visited. It was quiet. We enjoyed the ducks and cats. Will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.
The house is tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac, and it is a natural paradise. Everything inside and out is so well thought out and maintained. The attention to detail and personal touches are so appreciated. The home is immaculate and well stocked. And the best part is the level of attention Bess, our gracious host, gives to her guests.
Very nice property .. hostess was very accommodating— we loved the thoughtful gift basket and bonus filled dish on the side (gotta stay there to enjoy it!!… shhhh). Loved the access to the state park — would stay again …
Bess was an excellent host! The home was tasteful and welcoming, and the ambiance was peaceful and homey. Our kids loved seeing the ducks and watching them play in the pond. Bess was always available and overdid herself in making us feel welcome. We highly recommend staying here!
What a wonderful place to stay, relax and go see what Greenville has to offer. Bess had everything perfect for our families arrival. Such a beautiful home, and the children loved the duck farm.
We will definitely be back. I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else. We are so happy to have found it!
We so enjoyed our stay- all the comforts of home and beyond! We enjoyed making meals in the kitchen, coffee on the screened in porch and visiting the ducks. Tucked away but easy access to everything. Loved the bonus of Paris Mountain State Park across the street. Family of 5 stayed comfortably for a baseball tourney- and on top of all the thoughtful touches, the extra sink was perfect for scrubbing baseball pants! I hope we will come back because I’d love to stay here again!
The home and the gardens are truly lovely. The owner really made us feel welcome. They also had a bunch of sporting equipment (basketball, baseball gloves, etc.) that the kids adored playing with. The kids also loved to be able to hurl duck food at the ducks. The house is in a great location and a quiet neighborhood. We would definitely go back.
Bess is a wonderful host, providing kind and generous hopitality, and quickly responds to any questions that may arise. Duck Farm is a cozy, clean, and comfortable house peacefully and privately nestled in a wooded setting, with the duck pond just steps away from the front door. The beds are very comfortable, and every room in the house is completely furnished with every possible thing a guest would need and want. It was a wonderful place to stay during our time in the Greenville area.
This was definitely one of (if not THE) best rentals we’ve ever stayed at! Checking in and out was super easy. And the host was very quick to respond to any messages and everything was so well thought out. From TV remote instructions to info about the surrounding area to games for the kids. It was just the perfect place for our family of 7 to stay. Everything was so clean and the beds were all very comfortable. We loved hiking at Paris Mountain (literally like right across the street), going to Roper Mountain Science Center, and the Greenville Zoo, which were all super close. Even Skytop Orchard was only about 40 minutes away (and totally worth the extra drive). But then the kids weren’t even upset to have to leave and come back to this house because it was so perfect! Arcade game console, great books, feeding the ducks, and the long paved driveway for rollerblading/skateboarding were all big hits and just made a wonderful experience for our vacation. Everyone’s asking when we can go back! So, if you’re wondering if this is the place to stay, it is. You won’t regret it.
Wow. Duck farm was the nicest VRBO we have ever rented. Secured in our compound with the lovely ducks the house had everything we could have ever wished for. And duck eggs for breakfast each morning. Well stocked and everything was meticulously labeled. A serene location near State Park and an easy drive to downtown Greenville. We would recommend this home for anyone.
We recently spent 3 nights in the Delightful Duck Farm cottage. The home was very welcoming, kitchen well stocked, comfortable beds, a great host, good access to the state park and on and on. Bess was wonderful from the day I booked the reservation. She had a special Thanksgiving activity for the grandkids and a goodie basket filled with several items. We would definitely choose to stay at the Delightful Duck Farm again. Thank you Bess for making our stay extra special. Ruth G and family
LOOK NO FURTHER!!! if you are looking for a peaceful retreat in nature that’s also close to the activities in and around Greenville, book here! This house is wonderful with thoughtful amenities, beautiful artwork, and comfortable beds. There are plenty of games and even some toys. The host is very friendly, attentive, and communicative. She went above and beyond to make sure we had the extra things that made traveling with a baby easier (a pack n play and high chair). She even had an Easter basket and surprise Easter egg hunt for our kids. And of course, We thoroughly enjoyed feeding the ducks!
This property is amazing. The site looks just like the pictures online, even down to the ducks in the driveway. My children loved being able to see the ducks in the pond and to feed them. The house was very clean, and it has so many amenities. There was not only the arcade for my oldest, but there were children's books available in the library area. The beds were very comfortable, and the wi-fi was excellent. Bess was very helpful with her communication, and she has a hall with maps and ideas of things to do in Greenville. Everyone in my family was impressed, and we would love to come back.
Bess is an amazing host, with a fantastic property! No detail was left out from the welcome packet to the farewell gift, all was truly amazing! The house was perfect for us and our 5 kids, the hand drawn map in the hallway gave us tons of inspiration to plan each day. While we were there, Bess picked up a State Park Pass, which can be used at Paris Mountain (Across the road) or at any of the parks (there's a ton) within a 30 min drive.
Just stay here, feed the ducks with Bess and make yourself a duck egg omelet, you won't regret it!
My husband and I treated our daughter, son-in-law and grandbabies for weekend away. The house was spacious and clean. The game room was a hit with all of us. We spent hours competing against each other on the video arcade game. The hostess went over and above with little extra treats. She even loaned us her crockpot so I could make a meal. Feeding the ducks was also a big hit with all of us. The hostess gave us plenty of food so we fed them twice a day. We were close to the state park and went hiking there and then drove into downtown Greenville for the different parks there. The weekend was a blast! Would definitely stay there again!
I do not like staying in town or in the middle of neighborhood so when we arrived I was a little concerned. We weaved through a windy road in a neighborhood and down a long driveway to a little farm. All of the sudden you didn’t feel like you were in a neighborhood at all. It was private and the back yard was woods, we had deer in the back yard! The house was amazing! Much bigger than it looked in pictures! It is decorated so cute, very well stocked and extremely private! Can’t say enough about it!
in a neighborhood at all. It was
In town for a wedding and stayed four nights.
This place is fantastic. Bess has paid attention to all the little details you may find partially in other places. A State Park pass is included and there are hiking poles and umbrellas provided. On the wall she has made a cute map of places in the area and has a map of the state park that is across the road. We hiked some of trails. The park is beautiful. The house is painted with soft pastels inside. The kitchen is the best equipped I have seen in a vacation home. She even included kurig pods, snacks, coke and water bottles. There is a library with a broad variety of interesting books-even some old classic engineering texts my husband enjoyed looking at.. The master bedroom and bath is huge with one of the most comfortable beds around, two highboy chairs and a sofa. When we arrived Bess had a personal wecome bag and print out wecoming our family with info about the house and area. There are tons of board games to choose from in the game area plus a dart board and small arcade machine. The best thing for me was the ducks. They were fun to watch and feed. Bess responded immediately when we had a request.
You cant go wrong choosing to stay here.
