Set into the hillside for privacy and views, it rewards the walk down with a rarity on this lake: a wide, level lawn of soft grass at the water's edge instead of a slippery rock scramble — a shoreline you can actually spread out and relax on. Add sweeping views, a private boat dock, screened porch, and indoor fireplace — perfect for a family week or friends by the fire.

Please note: this is a hillside lakefront property. There are approximately 40 steps from the parking area down to the house, and about 40 more from the house down to the lake. Once you reach the bottom, the lawn at the water is flat and open.





LAKEFRONT LIVING



The lakefront is the heart of Timber & Tide. Most homes on this lake meet the water with rock and a careful climb — here, the shoreline opens into a broad, flat grassy lawn, so the lake becomes a true extension of your yard. Spread out a blanket, set up chairs at the shore, launch a kayak, cast a line, or walk down with your morning coffee and watch the light move across the water.



The private dock makes it easy to bring your own boat and spend the day out on Lake Wallenpaupack, then come back to your own quiet stretch of shore. Yes, there's a set of steps down to reach it — but the reward at the bottom is a rare, usable piece of flat green lakefront that's genuinely made for lingering. Please note boat trailer parking is not available onsite.



Note: The dock is seasonally available (typically mid-May through mid-September — see Lake Info below).

ENTERTAINMENT & RELAXATION

Wind down on the screened-in porch with the lake in view and no bugs to chase you inside, or gather around the indoor fireplace when the evenings turn cool. There's a large deck with a grill for lakeside dinners, an outdoor firepit for s'mores and stargazing, and three TVs for movie nights or catching the game. The beautifully appointed kitchen makes cooking for the group a pleasure rather than a chore — and with tasteful, high-end décor throughout, the whole home feels like a clear step up from the ordinary rental.





LAKE INFO

The grassy lakefront and shoreline are great for swimming, paddle sports, fishing, and simply relaxing at the water's edge.

The cove is quiet and peaceful, especially Monday–Friday.

Water levels vary through the year, with ample depth for docking a boat during the summer season.

Because the lake freezes, all docks are removed for the colder months — typically pulled in mid-September and returned in May. Precise timing varies, so please inquire if you're interested in a Spring (April/May) or Fall (September) stay with boat storage.



GOOD TO KNOW

Rental agreement required before stay

Occupancy is limited to 12

Day guests must be listed on the rental agreement prior to arrival

Parking is free, limited to 5 vehicles. No RVs or trailers.

Minimum age requirement of 25 to book; majority of guests must be 25+, except families with children

No pets

No smoking indoors — outside only, and please leave no butts or ash behind

No fireworks or discharge of any firearm (including BB, air, pellet, and paint guns)

Community speed limit is 10 mph, strictly monitored

Quiet hours 10pm–8am — this is a family-oriented neighborhood; no late-night parties. Outdoor noise monitors are in place.

Please keep outdoor noise reasonable — sound carries near the lake, and we want a serene stay for you and respect for the neighbors

Steep terrain and multiple stairs — approximately 23 steps from parking to the house, and about 37 more from the house to the lake

Linens and towels provided at no extra charge

-Boat Dock is only available mid May to mid September



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the entire property. The home is accessed via smart lock, so check-in is seamless and contactless — we'll proactively let you know when early check-in or late check-out is possible.



The Neighborhood:

Timber & Tide is a short drive from the charming towns of Hawley and Honesdale, with boutique shopping, cafés, restaurants, and local markets. You're also close to hiking trails, waterfalls, wineries and breweries, Woodloch Resort, and the many outdoor adventures of the Pocono Mountains.



Whether you're sipping morning coffee on the porch or watching the sun set over the water, Timber & Tide is a peaceful, stylish, and memorable lakefront escape.



Getting Around:

Lake Wallenpaupack is roughly 100 miles (about 2 hours) from NYC and about 2.5 hours from Philadelphia.
