My stay was absolutely wonderful. Such a beautiful property in a convenient location, only an hours drive from all the places I wanted to visit. Communication with the host was so easy and a quick response. The only thing I didn’t like was that the bed was way too hard for my liking.

This quaint property had the lot! So many options while staying at the old Telegraph station. Pub down the road, very small brewery around the corner, several cellar doors down and across the road. Not to mention that this property had everything you needed. 5 stars. 👌

My partner and I stayed 3 nights at the Telegraph BNB at Greenock. Our experience could only be described as wonderful. The cottage is fully decked out with all the comfortable amenities and lovely soft little extras like chocolates and a complimentary bottle of Barossa Wive. The cottage is charming and very well looked after. The breakfast supplied was very generous. It’s situated in the heart of the beautiful village of Greenock. Everything you need is easily accessed. I would highly recommend staying here.

One of the best stays ever. Historic building.Incredibly comfortable with every amenity. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and the food provided for breakfast was delicious. Quiet location in small town but short distance to everywhere in the Barossa. Locally 2 amazing cafes/pubs, plus store front wineries. Communication with the owner was great plus all the information about the region that was left for us. Highly recommended!!

The day we arrived was a catastrophic bush fire warning day and obviously very hot. Also just before Christmas. The owner rang to let us know the property was ready early and air conditioner was already going so come whenever we were ready, we arrived and the property was lovely and nice and cool inside. Owner also let us know she would contact us if there was any need to leave due to fires which helped put us a bit more at ease. There was also some delicious ginger bread on the table for us. The whole stay was lovely, great little cottage, excellent spa bath and tasty breakfast provisions as well as a nice red wine. Thank you for making our 8th wedding anniversary so special!!!

Great communication from the owner and the property was easy to find. Greenock is a nice little place and we enjoyed walking around and talking to the locals. We had a great dinner at the local hotel just a short walk from the property. A generous amount of food was left for our breakfast which we enjoyed. It was cold when we visited but the house soon warmed up with the fire going, and the bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up.

We felt at home as soon as entered the property. Lovely cottage, very clean and tidy and tastefully decorated. The only negatives would be not enough kindling for the fire and also the traffic noise on Monday morning was quite loud but apart from that would highly recommend it.

A fabulous place to stay
We really loved our stay in this wonderful warm and cosy cottage. The wood fire was perfect for our cold wet and very wintry weekend away. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, an enormous bathroom, kitchen and 2 living areas plus an outdoor area that includes a BBQ. The special touches included a bottle of wine, chocolates, and cereal, bacon and egg breakkie supplies. The kitchen was well appointed. The spa bath was an added bonus to make our trip relaxing. The locals all made us feel welcome at the coffee shop, the brewery and the pub, and there are a number of wineries and things to see and do within walking distance. Alternatively some bigger towns are a short drive away. We wished we could have stayed longer....maybe next time!!!

Greenock is such a cute little village and the Old Telegraph is full of character. An open fireplace option on a cold winter’s night and the most comfy bed ever were perfection! And being 250m from Murray St Vineyards made for a gorgeous afternoon. The perfect launching pad for a great Barossa trip. Would thoroughly recommend!

It's a pity you did not read your booking confirmation when you received it as that would have alerted you immediately that you had chosen the wrong date for your stay and avoided you turning up on the wrong day and finding the cottage booked by other guests. Your review rating, I believe, is based on trying to place blame elsewhere than on yourself. It can't be based on much else because your did not actually stay at the cottage. I hope you get to stay in the Barossa some time; it is a beautiful part of the world.

Nice but chilly
Small tidy house, charming features and probably more suited to a summer stay. We couldn’t get warm. No internal doors so hard to heat up the common areas particularly on a cold Barossa night.

Response from Sue on 30 Aug 2018
Yes, it can get chilly in the Barossa. The small cottage has a wood burning combustion heater, two heater/air-conditioners with adjustable temperature settings and heavy drapes on the windows so I'm surprised you were unable to get warm. A couple of the rooms can be closed off (bedrooms, bathroom) to aid warmth. Maybe you will have a chance to try the Barossa and the cottage summer sometime.

Beautiful Old Telegraph Station
The Old Telegraph Station is a very cool, beautiful building with antique furniture. Staying there was like stepping back in time, yet it had a complete kitchen and bath. It has two separate bedrooms with an extra sofa bed. Perfect for a family as you have use of the whole house. We were provided with groceries to make ourselves a full breakfast the next morning. Wish our stay had been more than one night. Really fantastic accommodations with Greenock amenities within walking distance.

Cosy stay at a convenient location.
Overall it was a great place to stay. It's in a great location and is well looked after. We were disappointed with the fact there was only 2 bags of English Breakfast tea. We had to find a store and buy some more tea just so that we could have more than one cup each. It's only a minor thing, but gives the feeling that only the bare minimum is supplied.
