"I have known about the Rambler Hotel /Motel ever since I was a small child growing up in the 1960s, however I have never stood there until this past Sunday. I knew growing up that it was a small motel just off the interstate and a few years ago I knew that they had added the new two-story edition. With the passing of a family member and being asked to participate in the funeral I knew that I would spend some time in Walsenburg so I started to look for a place to stay while I was there. I chose the Rambler and booked my stay, I looked over my reservation and noticed that I was on an exterior room so I called the hotel directly and requested an interior room with handicapped amenities and I was given the room directly adjacent to the swimming pool. When I walked in I was delightfully pleased at a nicely appointed room with everything that I would need to be comfortable. I asked for an early check-in and was accommodated. The continental breakfast was nice and having somebody there fixing eggs and hash browns was an unexpected delight. I have nothing negative to say about my stay from check in to check out everything went smoothly. I could not have asked for more enjoyable experience."

"Staff was super friendly. room was really rundown old. There were holes in the bathroom wall bathroom floor was really dirty. The room wasn’t really clean. I found some stuff from the prior guests in the room on the floor."

"Everything was as good or even usually better than we expected. Stayed at a lot of places-and every once and a while owners try to think of every little thing that would be there to make staying almost like at home-this is one of those places-great place-peaceful -and just what we needed."

"It seems like an older Microtel compared to the one we stayed in prior in Hot Springs. The shower curtain needed to be washed or replaced. Breakfast was average."

"We stayed at the Pines while our home was being mitigated for smoke. Maryann was so sweet and accommodating, we felt right at home during our stay. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of room for our family of 5. The screen porch was absolutely amazing. The surroundings are beautiful. I can’t recommend this place enough. We would definitely stay here again."

"What a lovely house! The decor is fresh and pretty, and the house is very clean and well-appointed. The host has it stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen - including a few thoughtful snacks. The beds are extremely comfortable and have nice bedding. This house has so much charm! The host was friendly and responsive.Great location to walk to Stomping Grounds, Beulah Inn, and the general store. Highly recommend!"

"Great stay at Maria Lake: fantastic staff and perfect for fishingWe stayed at Lot 8 at Maria Lake in Wallenberg, and it was a great home base for fishing Larthrop. The location couldn't have worked better for us.What really stood out was the staff. We had a small hiccup when our key didn't work, and before I could even get through to the main line, Marcus was already on his way over to help. While that got sorted out, the ladies came down, brought us up to the clubhouse, got us drinks, and even offered us dinner. That kind of hospitality is hard to find. They turned a minor problem into one of the highlights of the trip.The unit itself is an older trailer, but it's been well kept and is in great shape. It had everything we needed.Great crew, great spot. We're already looking forward to next time!"

"Cute place, everything was very clean and decorated in teal colors, though it smelled like cigarette inside and it was really hot inside. Cool deck over looking Lake Beckwith. We didn't spend much time there as we were pretty busy though we really enjoyed sitting on the little deck at night and early morning feeding the blue jays. We saw a fox walk by and a bunch of deer. Sunrise on Sunday was beautiful!"
