The view was unbelievable… the sunsets - WOW! Nek and the ladies at the hotel were fantastic… they were so friendly and helpful with any questions or requests. We will be talking about their breakfast for years to come. We enjoyed our travels through Italy, but Santorini and the Sunset Hotel were the jewel of our trip. Thank you Nek!

The view is spectacular, the room was clean, nice people at reception, pretty good breakfast, quiet (but we went in November, low season, so difficult to say for sure), walkable distance from downtown Fira. The only negative is the mattress in the room which was horrible.

Overall, it was a great stay; fantastic views/sunset to die for, clean, comfortable and functional room, and breakfast! minimalistic but nice enough to get us through the morning. But I couldn't rate it Fantastic as there were two issues one of which was a health and safety issue; the pull out single bed had a sticking out metal bits on the bottom end. My son and I both bumped into it and got skins off the shin, which was very painful and unsightly for my shorts day. Disappointing! Another one was the toilet flush button was loose on the wall which caused inconvenience each time we had to go to the toilet

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at The Sunset Hotel in mid-May 2023. The view from the hotel verandah/balcony is utterly astounding. The best breakfast with a view ever! And the breakfast that is included is amazing in terms of quality and quantity - you won't need lunch! Usually I don't want to stay at the hotel - I want to get out and about. But the view at this hotel was so amazing it was hard to want to go anywhere else! The room was clean and comfortable and suited our needs and I would definitely choose Firostefani as the perfect location on Santorini rather than anywhere else. Easy walking distance to Thira but SO much quieter. Highly recommended.

Perfect hotel and location
We stayed for two nights on 6th & 7th of May 23. Hotel is in a perfect location with amazing views. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was amazing. Lovely hotel. We would definitely recommend it.

First the good things - 1) Wonderful housekeeping staff , very polite and accommodating. If it wasn’t for them I would have rated this place a 2 2) great views from patio . Phenomenal 3) Clean for the most part (read the negatives below) Bad stuff 1) they told us toilet paper doesn’t work for our plumbing so clean and throw in the small trash can . This sounded filthy to us so we used water but there was no setup for that so we did bottles and filled from tub . Just crazy 2) leaky sink see pic 3) plumbing thst leaked 4) useless lights from devices inside the room , could easily be covered up 5) no bar , no restaurant and no music to make a pleasurable experience sitting on patio 6) useless front office staff . Never picked up phone and no good advice on where to go and what to do . 7) no drinking water do we bought our own . Not that big of a deal since water is cheap in Greece . 8) same breakfast everday. Zero variety . Absolute zero variety and below average taste.

The view at Sunset Hotel is simply spectacular-- and the outdoor areas at the property are a wonderful place to enjoy the sunset. The folks at Sunset Hotel, especially Nic and Yiota, were amazingly kind and helpful-- they made great arrangements and suggestions for restaurants, tours and transportation. The property is spotless and meticulously maintained thanks to the couple that work the daytime shift. We've stayed in places with bigger rooms and more amenities, but no place has better views or nicer staff than Sunset Hotel!

Had a very nice 3 nights stay with my wife and 10 year old son. Staff is super nice and friendly. Great views from the hotel. The only critical thing I would say is the wifi kept going down every 10 minutes. Overall, I had a nice stay and will recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Amazing location right in the middle of restaurants and shops, but tucked away from the walking paths. Amazing property, especially for the price. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great stay. Locaton is excellent and the view is amazing. Front desk staff was very helpful. Wifi didnt work in the room but that was the only problem. Nuce breakfast. It's all you need for an active stay in Santorini.

We loved our 4 night stay at Sunset Hotel. The hotel is conveniently located in Firostefani which is 15 minutes by walk from Fira. The views from the hotel are breathtaking and all amenities were available as mentioned. Breakfast was great and was timely given. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for short/long stay in Sanorini.

The view from the balcony and the room window was amazing, towards the sunset. The room was really pleasant and comfortable. It was eqquipped with an air-conditioner, a fridge, a television and a hair drier as well as a wardrobe. There was also a place to hang clothes right outside the room and the cleaning was exceptional. Only the wifi was a little unstable at times. The breakfast included was rich and filling, with considerable variety given the pandemic circumstances. The manager and staff were really helpfull and nice, willing and able to help with even specific coffee preferances for breakfast.

Great Stay in Santorini
Sunset Hotel was a great place to stay during our short trip to Santorini. Its location in Firostefani was quiet yet still within a 10-15 minute walk to bustling Fira. The room was spacious and comfortable. The caldera view from the outdoor shared veranda was great at sunset. Breakfast was a nice touch in the morning with personal service and plenty to fill you up. Very recommended!

Plus - very nice location with very good service Minus - One of the beds had two folding legs which were coming out of the bed were very dangerous and hazardous to anyone walk close to it. My leg is still hurting due to the bruises caused by it. This iron bed must be removed from the room. Also, the bathroom had a bad smell.

I chose this hotel for the unobstructed view of the Caldera, which we enjoyed from the windows of our room, the seating area outside our door, the shared patio area, and the breakfast area. The location was close to everything but very quiet. I cannot say enough about how great the staff were at the hotel. They were so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The daily breakfast was amazing and kept us fed until dinner. We loved it there and would stay again if we were to return to Santorini.

Gorgeous location and terrace. Good value for your money. Only complaint was the lack of someone at reception during day hours and not having the hot tub open when every other hotel had theirs on.
