Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort Spa & Casino - All Inclusive

"Our family had a wonderful stay at Lopesan! The resort itself is beautiful, and we especially loved the main property, the variety of daily activities, and the pools. The à la carte restaurants offered excellent food and service, and we really enjoyed the unique concept of having a shopping boulevard on the property. A special thank you to the team at Panchi Kids Club. Our daughter absolutely loved spending time there each day. Every staff member was incredibly kind, caring, and welcoming, and it gave us peace of mind knowing she was so well taken care of. The only constructive feedback I would offer relates to a few operational details. Housekeeping was inconsistent throughout our stay. Our room wasn’t always cleaned to the same standard, and items such as robes and towels were often missing or varied from day to day. Whenever we called, the staff responded quickly and resolved the issue, which we appreciated. Additionally, the distance between our room and the Kids Club was quite significant, and the Kids Club and water park are located far from the lobby and main pool areas. Finally, food options at the Boulevard were very limited. YOLO would not allow takeout, and the sports bar did not offer food. As someone who was pregnant during our stay, making the long walk only to find there wasn’t food available when I needed it was disappointing. Overall, we truly enjoyed our vacation and would recommend Lopesan."
Ocean Blue & Sand Beach Resort - All Inclusive

"My wife and I really liked this resort. We've been to the DR 8 times, and I would say that this place ranks in the top 3. Check in was smooth. We had a 3rd floor room in building 9 which was a very convenient place to be. There are 2 main pools. We spent our time at the one closest to the beach. The staff does an awesome job keeping them clean. You will read reviews where folks say there are not enough umbrellas around the pool. That is pure crap, there are plenty. We were usually poolside by 9:00 and always got the spot we wanted. The guys at the swim-up bar were awesome! Diogenes (Dio), Wander and Francisco took good care of everyone. We would hit the beach in the afternoon and never had a problem finding chairs in the shade. Yes, there is seaweed at the beach, but the staff does their best to keep up with it. The food at the main buffet was pretty good. The guys making the omelets in the morning were 1st class. There is a small buffet at the beach (open air) which is perfect for lunch. As for dinner we tried Route 66 which was really good American food (shout out to Yaris in this place), the Steakhouse (shout out to Jose), and the Japanese restaurant were also very good. The Piano Lounge is an awesome stop. The gent starts playing at 9:00, plays for about 45 minutes, takes a 30-minute break, and then plays from 10:15 until 11:00. He plays 8 to 10 songs, and you knew every one of them (Elton, Billy, Queen, etc…). We have already said that we are coming back next year."

"I liked the fact that I had a full kitchen to use and the washer and dryer. Though the room needs some renovations. Also the parking lot needs to be resurfaced: it has a lot of potholes."
Princess Grand Jamaica Resort - All Inclusive

"Our stay was amazing! The resort was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful! Please note it is atleast an hour from the airport. But for this trip that was our preference. The food however was 3/10 this includes food market for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There were several restaurants that were available to us with no reservations required but they too were subpar! The lobby bars closed early which was a bit of an inconvenience. Our biggest issue was that the hotel app listed several restaurant options however what we found out was that the restaurants on the Senses (adult only) side was only available to us for a $30 Per person per day fee. Had we know that in advance we would have happily paid the fee instead of being stopped by security because we did not stay on the senses side and had no idea those restaurants were only available for an extra fee. Other than that it was an amazing stay and we will definitely be back in a few years once they've gotten the food situation sorted."

"The property was beautiful, well-maintained, and overall we had a pleasant stay. However, there were a few issues that kept it from being a 5-star experience for us. The bathroom was quite small, which wasn’t a major problem but was noticeable. The biggest issue occurred during our honeymoon stay. On our second night, a large wedding reception was being held on the same floor, directly next to our room. By 10:30 PM, the music was so loud that our bed was literally shaking from the bass. We called the front desk and were told they would ask the event to lower the volume. When the noise continued 30 minutes later, we called again. While the staff said they would address it, the response felt somewhat indifferent. There were also guests from the wedding yelling in the hallway, and we were told security would check on the situation. My main concern is not that the hotel hosted a wedding, but rather the room placement. With an event of that size taking place, it seems the hotel could have assigned nearby rooms to wedding attendees rather than guests seeking a quiet stay. Aside from that experience, the hotel itself was very nice, the property was beautiful, and we enjoyed our visit overall."
