"The room was lovely, the bed was a good size and the bathroom looked new, great shower with plenty of natural light. The breakfast was good and provided a good start to the day. The restaurant was very good, the quality of the venison was excellent, prices were very reasonable, the spa was one of the best we have been to. A large pool and very well equipped gym. The location was great and not far from Bolton. The staff were friendly and always helpful. Overall we would recommend the hotel."

"Room clean and adequate size. Would have been nice to have a fridge but we were given fresh water. Although there is no air on, they do provide a floor fan. Evening meal was delicious, as was the wine. English breakfast was ok - I couldn’t eat the sausages as it was very over seasoned with white pepper, so I didn’t enjoy it, but hubby who loves pepper was happy to eat mine. Check in and out was very easy. Annoyingly because we hadn’t booked direct with the hotel we where charged £12 parking."

I also couldn’t understand why I could not purchase a drink at the bar in the main foyer (I was a guest at the wedding but was also staying overnight). I understand you are trying to keep all the wedding guests in the hired room but sometimes guests just want to chill out for half hour or so. The annoying thing was that some wedding guests were being served in the main foyer and, others were being refused."

Only criticism was that our room was incredibly hot, even at night but we asked for another fan which didn’t help to be honest. Other than that, highly recommended."
