"The hotel is ideally placed and the rooms are very comfortable. Hotel reception and breakfast staff very friendly and helpful and we got a warm welcome when checking in. However, our 3 day stay was spoiled by 2 fire alarms - one at 0630hrs (disturbed nights sleep) the day after we arrived and then another the day after at around 0930hrs. Obviously, on both occasions, we evacuated the hotel as expected but there was no coordination from the staff telling us what was going on or when we could go back in. The alarms stopped and everybody didn’t know whether it was safe or not but everybody just started wandering back in without any reassurances which we thought was poorly managed. Apparently they were false alarms. I’m assuming that we were just unlucky."
