New for 2026- the perfect family getaway

"Lt. Island is a magical place. We have been coming to the cape for 40 years and it never seizes to provide us with pure peace and joy. The house here is special for its access to quiet beaches and marshes and its beautiful ocean view from the second floor deck. It’s very private too. It’s dog friendly and a wonderful and safe place for them. The host, Michael is extremely responsive and check in and check out is very easy. The house would be more comfortable if it had more seating for the family to gather around the TV for an evening of relaxation. Just one more love seat would go a long way. The kitchen is terrific and with a few more upgrades in cooking utensils (a good fry pan or a blender) would make it perfect. The bathrooms are great and the outdoor shower is heaven. We hope to return to the house next year! Highly recommend!"

"The cottage is very clean, pet friendly, and well organized. What is absolutely spectacular is the view onto Wellfleet Bay both from the living room and the master bedroom, both of which have decks. We watched birds, boats and stars—an ideal Cape Cod vacation. There is also direct beach access. We hope to return next summer."

"We were in town for a wedding, and the location was perfect, just minutes away from everywhere we needed to go and in off time it was close to the pier and some go to locations for lunch and drinks. Check in/out was very easy. The place was as expected, clean, and had everything we needed. The one difficult part was the driveway. We had two cars, a small car and a small suv and parking was tight and the driveway is on a slant. If our cars were any bigger we wouldn’t have fit. We would definitely stay again."

"We had a great stay, in a charming comfortable home. The location was very nice, we could walk to the harbor via a few paths and also walk all the way into town via more of a "hike" along the harbor, over Uncle Tim's bridge. Also a very easy location to get to Orleans or Truro-Ptown.The rooms were all very clean and the bedding/beds were nice and comfortable. Having AC in every room was also very nice, made for very comfortable sleeping. The screened in porch was also very nice for reading and or having meals, as was the patio. I did feel the house showed a bit of wear that could/should have been improved through better, regular maintenance (think cabinet doors sticking, leaking faucet, scuffing on walls).Neighbors are VERY close on all sides of the house, so anyone looking for privacy would want to avoid it. The neighbors were all friendly, and our kids ran around easily. We appreciated the board games on-site and the TV set up for the kids as well."

"Everything about this stay was perfect ! We arrived early and able to check into our room an hour early ! The staff were very helpful and friendly and answered all of our questions. The room itself was very clean and well maintained. They had free rental bikes that were in great shape and were very helpful for getting to the beaches without paying any fees !! Overall a great experience, would highly recommend for a nice get away in the cape."

"We love Lt. Island and have been coming for years. We had a great time, the highlight for my grandson was jumping off the bridge that connects the mainland to the island at high tide. The house is roomy with multiple levels which allowed all of us to spread out and the kitchen and living areas made for a great gathering space. We highly recommend!"
