Welcome to our cozy cabin in the woods.Open year-round, you will find it to be well-equipped and spotless. Newly remodeled, this woodland getaway features a knotty Pine living room and Jacuzzi room. Two bedrooms; one has a queen bed, the other has two twin beds. Living room is fully equipped with a futon, 55" flat screen, and satellite television. This cabin sleeps 5 people. Laundry room includes a washer and dryer. Kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, and oven. We are located one mile away from the famous Gates Lodge, and one mile away from Kneff Lake. Located only ten minutes away from world renowned Forest Dunes Golf Club. Only one mile away from the world famous AuSable river; perfect for fishing gates lodge. Great area for hunting and snowmobiling. Please note this is a non smoking cabin and is fully equipped with central air and Wi-Fi.

The cabin came as advertised. This was our second stay. The hosts do a really fine job in making guests feel welcomed, and we enjoyed the well appointed kitchen. The hot tub was a fine way to end the day for two old people and a young bird dog chasing grouse during the day.

Amazing weekend!!

It was a very romantic weekend! We were staying for our anniversary and we were only a 10 minute drive from downtown grayling and the cabin was so much bigger than I thought it would be. It was nice to curl up next to the fire place and go in the jacuzzi while watching a movie. It was the perfect weekend.

Peaceful haven

We have stayed at Northern Memories many times and will continue to as long as we can. Our dog loves the backyard and we love the cleanliness ,hospitality ,great location and everything about the cottage.

Beautiful cabin!

I loved how the cabin was fully stocked with everything we could have needed and then some! The jacuzzi was wonderful and so was the fireplace. It was the perfect place for a weekend getaway to just unwind! We would definitely stay again.

Great getaway

The inside is pristine, very cute up north decor throughout the house. Hot tub and fireplace are definitely a plus! Close enough to town but far enough to be in nature. Love the window with the bird feeders outside. Saw many birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and a rabbit. Very relaxing place to be!

Fourth visit to one of our happy places!

The cabin is always clean and inviting. April leaves a nice note and a welcome gift for us and our dog. We love the hot tub, quiet location, the backyard is great with having a dog. We can't wait to go back for a fifth visit.

Romantic getaway with an amazing cabin and host

My wife and I were incredibly pleased with how clean and adorable, Northern Memories is. With its very private setting, jacuzzi for two and the fireplace, this cabin is the perfect place to rest, relax and reconnect. The fenced in yard is another huge plus that just sets Northern Memories above anything else. On top of all that, your hosts, April and Charlie do an amazing job of making you feel welcomed. We HIGHLY recommend it and will be visiting again!

Great Vacation Spot

This property and hosts are great! The place is very clean and well stocked with necessities. The jacuzzi room is awesome and the cabin is only about 10 minutes from downtown Grayling. There's so much to do in the area and this is such a great place to stay at while you explore. The host is VERY dog friendly, even set out a blanket, cookies, and tennis balls for my pup upon arrival. We'll be staying again, for sure. I highly recommend!

We love this cabin and the area. So peaceful! We lucked out with 80 degree weather in October and had the local parks and beaches all to ourselves. We will be back again soon!

My Daughter's 16th Birthday!

We had a great time! My Daughter and her friends enjoyed the hot tub and watching TV and movies. The Wii was a nice touch, they really enjoyed playing that. We brought our dog with us and the cabin was very pet friendly. The Host had dog treats and coffee cake to welcome us. This is a very clean, adorable, beautiful place to have a little getaway. Thanks again for a great trip!!

Perfect lil getaway

My husband and I and the dog wanted to have a white Christmas. We love going to Michigan and when we found this place, we booked it. When we had any questions or concerns on our stay, the host was very quick and detailed with any questions we have. Our check-in was was easy and delightful to get into the house. Our dog had a fresh homemade biscuit and blankets as well as labels for us to figure out what light switches were which it was easy to be and stay at very clean. We also got the snowmobile some so this is really a perfect stop for anyone family couples letters. The town of Grayling is wonderful. We always enjoy going. We would definitely recommend this place as well as stay here again ourselves.

Family Vacation

We had such a great stay at this beautiful cabin!! You're in the woods but still so close to all amenities and so many great destinations, i highly recommend this property! About an hour and 20 minutes from the Mackinac Bridge and the beautiful U.P. and about an hours drive from many beaches and coastal towns this is the perfect location for a nice getaway from the city. And after a nice long day exploring, you can come back to the cabin and relax in the amazing hot tub, that was a lifesaver for us!! And April and Charles are wonderful hosts and provide so much that all you really need to bring is clothes and food! We will definitely be staying here again as a family, and also looking to book a girls weekend there as well!

Perfect birthday getaway..

We have looked at booking this cabin several times and it's always full. Now that we finally got a chance to stay I see why. The cabin was a perfect place to have a relaxing, weekend getaway to celebrate my birthday. Very clean and had everything you could need. We found a fresh loaf of cinnamon bread from the local bakery waiting for us when we arrived. Perfect with coffee in the morning. The little extras left by the hosts were thoughtful and very much appreciated. The jacuzzi was a great way to relax and loved that it had it's own room with a tv, refrigerator and small bar area. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Everything you could want in Grayling area - and more

This cabin is centrally located to many options for things to do within 3 hours of its location. It is as well appointed as our home with everything one could need. Lots of historical and general info about the area and how to make the best of your time there. Generously sized and perfect for up to a family of 4. Outdoor activities, including love for wildlife, in the yard as well as things to do indoors. Host and hostess are readily available for any questions or concerns, and give an extra welcome by leaving local yummy treats. They love and welcome dogs. We definitely and heartily recommend this property and its owners!
