Our home offers guests an updated, safe, clean and comfortable place to vacation. So close to nearby trails to use your snowmobiles and Orv’s. Boat dock (mention during booking if you need dock) to store your boat for a quick boat ride to lake or spend your time cruising the canals. We offer use of our golf cart during your stay (certain rules apply). Well-appointed home that is located in the quiet, safe and child friendly North Cherokee Village.

You never know if a house will live up to its listing, it's why I'm happy to inform you that this is an awesome place. The house is clean and very well organized. Its well stocked with everything you need and even some nice treats. My interactions with the owner were highly responsive and cordial. The location is very nice and quiet. A comfortable home and a plus that we could bring our pup. Looking forward to visting again.

The house is beautiful! Everything as listed plus! Clean, quiet and private. Easy access to all the stores, restaurants and attractions. Rent this house! You won’t be disappointed!

Beautiful and quiet little cottage on the canal

My husband wanted a quiet little bonfire for his birthday. This was the perfect location and was exactly what he wanted. Cake, bonfire, on the canal and up north Michigan!

Amazing Houghton Lake Canal Home

Everything was as beautiful as the pictures. We had an amazing time. The home was spacious and spotless. We had 7 people and it never felt tight. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything. Being on the canal is perfect and only a short boat ride to Houghton Lake. Being able to dock your boat right at the house’s dock is so convenient. We will be back.

“Little Peace of Heaven”

Wonderful time! Our second time coming, always so clean and comfy. We came at a different time this time and enjoyed fishing and golf cart strolling to look at deer all around the community. Also, had a campfire and ate s’mores that they provided along with many other items to make our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. Great Host and great stay, every time. We will be back again, 😊 J Z.

Property is very nice

Amenities are good, only one tv, couch in living room and beds could use some updating. Should explain property is on the canal and you have to go through a very tight bridge with a boat to get on the lake. That was pretty hard to navigate. Overall good. The beds for us were the deal breaker and the couch. So uncomfortable. Kitchen is well stocked. Tons of plates and pans. We cooked everyday and used the grills. We got several emails about our dog being leashed prior to arrival that was a bit annoying as we had already confirmed we agreed to the rules. Our dog is an ADA dog and travels extensively with us. She is always leashed and well behaved. It was excellent to have her along but felt the constant reminders were a bit over the top.

Lovely, lovely, lovely! Great location/neighborhood. House is very warm and inviting. Kerrie sets the bar for VRBO hosts. House is so well-appointed with everything you could possibly need and surprise extra touches like farm fresh eggs, specialty popcorn, and even a s’mores welcome basket! It’s definitely home away from home. Highly recommend and would positively stay again!

Great place for a family!

Plenty of room for our big family! It was clean and tidy with lots of games to play. We caught a ton of fish off of the canal. Great location and the golf cart was a fun added touch! We definitely will stay here again.

A great and peaceful place to stay!

My parents and my husband and I stayed there it was great. They have everything you might need there. It was very close to shopping, restaurants, and everything in town. The view was so peaceful and pleasant. We really enjoyed ourselves. We will be back.
