Beautiful and cozy

Clean, comfortable, well-appointed and cozy, We had a wonderful stay. We had all kinds of weather while we were there and were able to enjoy the beautiful grounds, the hot tub, the sunny front porch and the cozy living room. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen stocked with everything you might need. Will definitely be returning.

The perfect remote getaway

Peaceful and Relaxing

The place and host were amazing. The property was well kept and well appointed for our stay. It is nicely secluded, and the hot tub was perfect for relaxing.

Winter getaway

We had a great time at the house , it sits on a hill with great views of the Catskills. Even though it was very cold outside we were very comfortable in the house. Three fireplaces and a hot tub made it warm and cozy.

Always a pleasure

We have stayed at Grey Hill Retreat multiple times over the last couple of years and always have a great visit. The home has everything we need and even though the cold and snow kept us off the deck and out of the hot tub, we still had a great time.

I cant say enough about this property, its owner and its manager. It is beautiful and so comfortable. We ended up getting into a motorcycle accident on our way out east and we needed somewhere to rest for a few days. We couldnt of found a better place to do so. The beds and furniture were so comfortable that we hated to leave. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful place with is. We hope to return some day and ride the Catskills

Great location for a weekend with girlfriends.

The house was spacious and clean. There is so much space for relaxing inside and plenty of outdoor seating. The kitchen was well stocked for all our cooking needs. The spa was clean and easy to use. It was great to sit outside and enjoy the scenery.

Extended weekend in Oak Hill!

We had a lovely stay in Oak Hill. The house was very charming and the kitchen was fully stocked with supplies. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The foliage was beautiful for a scenic serene weekend. We visited a nearby farm for apple picking which was as a lot of fun!

A Peaceful and Secluded Getaway

This was the perfect house to escape the city over the weekend. Plenty of room to hang out with a cozy fire, lots of space to cook large meals, and the view from the hot tub can't be beat. The kitchen is stocked with every gadget and tool imaginable. Communication with the host was fast and helpful. We had a great time. Highly recommend if you're looking for some quiet time away from the chaos.

Comfortable and Well Equipped

We enjoyed are stay. The house is well equipped with appliances, glasses, towels, sheets, etc. Very clean and comfortable. It's located close to a number of attractions. Lots of stars are visible on clear nights. All sorts of birds to watch. Nice cornhole set and other games to play. The spa is nice, but it was so warm during our visit it didn't get much use.

The Perfect Romantic Getaway

My partner and I stayed here to celebrate Christmas a bit early before we traveled separately to see our families. I truly have never been so impressed with a rental. My partner and I agreed that it was the most beautiful rental either of us had ever visited. The check-in process was clear and easy and the house was appointed with all the supplies and amenities we needed and wanted. We only needed our swimsuits and groceries! The pictures do not do the home justice and we are already discussing when we can return.

Perfect weekend getaway

It was the perfect weekend. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The house is very warm and cozy. The kitchen was stocked with anything and everything you could possibly need or want. Other than the grocery shopping we did; the house was stocked. The Hot Tub was perfect and very easy to use and was enjoyed by all. The hosts were very kind, the flowers and note that was left for us was very sweet and gave the house an extra warmth to it.The house guide was great, all the information we needed for anything was right there and helped if there were any issues in the house, which there were NOT.We all truly enjoyed our stay and would 100% consider this property again!Thank you Krista

North Catskills Wonderland

Drive up through the North Catskills to a quiet and somewhat remote area. Surrounded by forests and farmland. Wildlife galore! Deer, Wild Turkey, Hawks, Ground Hogs, Rabbits, Squirrels and more. Grasslands that looked like a golf course. We really enjoyed nature and the quiet. The house was very comfortable and extremely well equipped. The host was very responsive but we needed nothing. Trader Joe’s is about 45 minutes away in Albany and there is adequate grocery shopping within 20-30 minutes from the home. We plan staying again in the future. We stayed for a very pleasant 28 days.

EXCEPTIONAL & PEACEFUL

Everything as advertised and much more. The "AMBIANCE" was exceptional. Communications with property management was spot on. We experienced a snow storm (10"+) and the contracted snow plow driver was there to clear the driveway and clear most of the deck area. The owners have taken the time and effort to make this place a place of relaxation and beauty. All you have to bring is your own food (or eat at the local restaurants). If you forget anything, local grocery store would have everything that you need. Everything that you could think of that you would need to cook with is there. If you are looking to enjoy clean fresh air, occasional sighting of deer, etc. This is a place of total letting your mind and body enjoy total relaxation.

Great house

I loved this rental! House was gorgeous, property was perfect for exploring with my Doberman. This was a getaway for my daughters sweet 16. The hot tub was a hit! Comfortable beds, cozy home. Note: although front yard is fenced , its quite short , and gate didnt lock, i had to put twine on gate to keep closed. My dog respected boundaries even though he could easily jump fence. It was fine for me for I'm a trainer and he has excellent recall, even sighting deer which are everywhere. I mention this if you're relying on fence to contain your dog, its not secure, but it worked for us and was a non issue.

Well stocked and very comfortable

We loved our stay! Everything from booking to checking out went flawlessly. The hosts are very responsive and timely and nothing was left to chance. We were AMAZED at the condition of the kitchen. All the tools and and gadgets to prepare anything - better than my own home! There were even a full compliment of spices, oils, vinegar and coffee. All of the things you usually have to run to the market just to have a teaspon for a recipe! The amenities were also perfect for us. We grilled every night and enjoyed the tabletop fireplace on the deck. We also used the hot tub multiple times every day. We went for a float in the pond with floats we brought with us, and it was wonderful. Look, it's a pond, its got a slimy bottom and there is wildlife, but we wore water shoes and weren't bothered by anything for the hours we spent in it. The wifi and TV's also worked well, and the bed and bathrooms were well-appointed and very comfortable. We were looking for a place to grill and chill and listen to music and relax, and this home was perfect. We'll be back!

Beautiful warm welcoming comfortable private home with views. Immaculately maintained and well provisioned. All we had to do is bring food for meals. We loved it and hope to go back. We dined at and got take out from Greenville Cafe. Great home cooking and friendly service.

This was our 4th trip back and this has become our home away from home. We have everything we need- a very well appointed kitchen, hot tub, grill and king size bed! We’re pretty simple when we travel and this home has it all. Always immaculate and comfortable with everything in perfect working order. We love the pond in the summer and fireplace in the winter. We always feel at home at Gray Hill Retreat!

Amazing Stay

We had an amazing stay. My girlfriend and I enjoyed every moment of it. The view was amazing, the place was spotless, and the weather was great. We enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace as well
