Furniture in room was falling apart could not sit to eat. Alarm clock did not work, toliet paper holder came out of the wall. Carpet was dirt, there were people in the parking lot cooking on a grill. Lots of people just in the lot conversating.

The outside parking lots need to be cleaned and tidied. Trash all over. Ice machine outside not operational The whole place needs an airing out. Rooms need cosmetic updates-bath room door looked trashy Better mattress covers to keep out dust mites and bed bugs.

Hotel was great and perfect for our family stay. Got the bedroom suite and it was perfect for a family of 4. Nice big living area with plenty of room to stretch out.

The Goat Shack Waterfront Cabin on Stocked Pond minutes to Downtown Lufkin
What a wonderful place to stay! Everything was clean and fresh ! The view from the back deck area was stunning and peaceful. The bunkbeds were such a treat for our kids and we loved all of the Goat Shack decor! The host was super welcoming and left us an adorable Goat Shack T shirt as a welcome gift. ...
