BRAND NEW: Beautifully Restored Timber Frame Barn w/ Hot Tub & Movie Theater
Completely reconstructed 1800's Vermont barn full of charm and character with original hand hewn beams and barn board interior. Recently dismantled, cleaned and restored, the owner/architect-builder has incorporated all of today's modern amenities. A four person hot tub and a 4k laser projection 130" movie screen with Bose Surround Sound provide hours of entertainment either apres ski or post hiking.
Other amenities include a fully equipped chef's kitchen, large mudroom (with heated floor), heated bath floors, large wrap around front porch and spacious, elevated back deck. A four person hot tub and patio are just out the back door where you can soak and relax under the stars. An outdoor shower is right there to wash off. There are two full baths and two half baths. We also now have a Level 2 charger that is coupled with our solar panels for overnight charging.
The home's central, most impressive feature, is the three story vaulted living/dining room area. Here the barn's authentic Vermont character and rich dramatic textures envelope the viewer in the warmth of genuine antique barn board and beams. All of the original timbers are on display and showcase this age old barn construction technique.
There are three comfortable and inviting bedrooms with queen beds and easily sleeps seven. Each bedroom is warm and cozy, perfect for a good night's sleep. The third floor loft has three built-in queen beds that kids (and parents) of all ages will adore. The property also features four bathrooms (two with with a walk in shower, another outdoor shower by hot tub), and two half baths ensuring guests have plenty of space to freshen up.
Located in the heart of the Green Mountains, we are 30 minutes from Sugarbush & Mad River Glen, 15 minutes from Middlebury College Snow Bowl and 45 minutes from Killington/Pico. Granville is in one of the best areas for stargazing. It ranks a 2 on the Bortle Dark Sky scale (1 to 9, 1 being the best.) Great hiking is also just minutes away with the Long Trail and many other spurs nearby. Waterfalls and quaint Vermont towns are all within easy reach. Fine dining in nearby Rochester, Warren and Waitsfield make for an absolutely fantastic experience!
Completely solar powered (Tesla battery back-up) with three independent heat pumps and AC, guests can stay comfortable no matter the season. And you can charge your electric vehicle over night on our Level 2 charger. It's easy to see why you'll be able to unwind and never want to leave the Birch Barn!
PETS: Pets are allowed, but there is a $50 fee for the additional cleaning and wear. Please check the box on your reservation request or contact the owner. We also ask that you pick up any land mines and keep them from barking excessively.
WINTER: 4wd Car recommendation: It is recommended that you have a 4wd car or truck in the winter AND good SNOW TIRES. "All-season" tires are useless in the fresh snow, especially on the hills. The property manager and town are very good about plowing, but the hills can be tricky during snow storms and many people have had to get towed.
TRAVEL INSURANCE: WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND PURCHASING TRAVEL INSURANCE. If you are prevented from taking your trip because of a covered reason, such as a sickness or injury of yourself or a family member, Travel Protection can help reimburse 100% of your prepaid, nonrefundable trip costs that you would otherwise lose when you cancel.
NOISE: Although the cabin is very private, we have two other homes on the property as well. Other homes may not be visible from there, but sound travels a long distance. We ask that our guests be courteous and not play loud music, especially at night. We are fortunate to have great neighbors and want to keep it that way!

We can't recommend Jeff's Barn enough! Jeff was very communicative the entire trip and made our stay very easy. The house is beautiful, the theater was great for watching movies and sports, and the beds are extremely comfortable. We'd love to come back someday!
Very communicative. Very beautiful. Very relaxing to stay in. The built in bunks are Amazing and provide a cozy feel. The screen was perfect for Super Bowl. Note: four wheel drive and good tires during winter are needed.
Beautiful house that you can tell the owner built with every detail well thought out. Seemingly modest from the exterior, you open the door and see mountain views across the valley as you look up and out the cathedral, reclaimed wood structure three stories above.Kitchen was well stocked with essentials, heat was no problem despite it being -10*F outside without the windchill, seamless connectivity to the WiFi, sound system, and projector. Great for families and friends to enjoy a relaxing weekend away.We absolutely plan to return.

This place is amazing! Great location. Very smooth check in and check out . Good communication with owners. Very clean and new!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Birch Barn in Vermont. From the moment we arrived, the space felt cozy, welcoming, and perfect for a family getaway. The barn was beautifully maintained and had everything we needed to settle in and feel at home. One of our favorite parts of the trip was cooking dinner together in the well-equipped kitchen — it made our evenings feel extra special. We truly enjoyed the hot tub in the snow. Afterward, we relaxed with a glass of wine and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere that surrounds the property. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, unwind, and really enjoy each other’s company.Overall, our time at the Birch Barn was memorable, comfortable, and full of simple joys. We can’t recommend it highly enough, Jeff is amazing, he is always available, and it is very easy to communicate with him. We would love to return on our next Vermont escape!
What a wonderful Vermont retreat this has been. It really can’t get any better than this. The Birch Barn is more than just beautiful—it’s clearly a labor of love, with thoughtful details at every turn that make the space feel both luxurious and wonderfully welcoming. It was incredibly peaceful to slow down here, to sit with a cup of tea on the deck in the morning surrounded by beautiful autumn leaves. The hot tub felt like a nightly sanctuary to star gaze and unwind after a long day of exploring. Inside, the living room is so perfectly cozy—soft lighting, comfortable seating, a big screen projector and surround sound. We enjoyed many movie nights accompanied by yummy snacks from Ben & Jerry and Cabot Creamery. The bedrooms were a treat too with great views of the outside, we especially enjoyed the heated bathroom floors. The kitchen was well-equipped, full of spices and anything you would need to make some delicious meals. It’s clear Jeff and Ronnie put a lot of heart into making sure guests feel pampered and at ease, and our visit was all the richer for it.Thank you for sharing this special Vermont retreat with us. We’re truly grateful for the restful, rejuvenating time here and can’t wait to return. We’re already imagining our next stay at The Birch Barn!
We stayed in this beautiful, brand-new cabin surrounded by snow and trees, and it was the perfect winter getaway. The home was warm, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. The indoor gas fireplace, hot tub, and movie projector were wonderful extras and made our evenings especially relaxing. There was plenty of space for our large family. The oversized dining table was perfect for family dinners, and the kitchen was fully stocked with brand-new appliances, including a full-size refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, washer, and dryer. The bathrooms were spotless, the bedrooms were very comfortable, and the upstairs loft was perfect for the kids. The three built-in queen beds made life so easy. The outdoor space was spacious, though due to snowstorms we couldn’t use the firepit. Board games were provided, and towels for bathing and the hot tub were plentiful. Laundry detergent was also supplied.Jeff was an amazing and extremely responsive host. The cabin is perfectly located between Sugarbush, Killington, and Pico. We recommend snowmobiling at ATV Rentals and tubing at Killington for non-skiers.Tip for future guests: bring all groceries with you. There’s only a small local store, the nearest large grocery store is about 45 minutes away, and there is no DoorDash. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a coffee pot, toaster oven, mixer, and even a Dutch oven, which made us feel right at home.Highly recommend — we would absolutely stay again!
Awesome property. Our family of 5 plus our pup stayed there for a ski get-a-way. It was a perfect set up and very comfortable. Jeff was very responsive and attentive.
