"We loved the house! It was spotless, comfortable, quiet and well equipped throughout. The host has clearly put a lot of thought into accommodating the potential needs of guests. The location was perfect for our dog with trails and a pond, he was very happy. Communication with the host was excellent and much appreciated."

"From the very beginning the host was amazing. He notified me within minutes of booking to verify the date as I had booked for the following year by mistake. The host was great got us in for the current year. We booked the little loft, as soon as we arrived we noticed it was incredibly hot inside, within minutes of walking in the host was calling me to let me know the maid had notified him of an issue with the a/c unit a couple hours earlier and maintenance was pulling in that very minute. Maintenance did what they could with the a/c unit and we went to our dinner reservation with plans to notify the host, upon our return, of the temperature. It was still very hot when we returned. A quick text to the host and he told me the property just up the road had not been booked and we could transition into the “Birch Barn”. The loft was beautiful and amazing in all its tiny-ness but the barn was overwhelmingly amazing. This property has it all, the wife and I felt like royalty in this majestic palace in the woods. Thank you host for helping to make my wife’s birthday get away one we will never forget. We look forward to booking one of these amazing properties again."

"Nice location off of Route 100 there was a little road noise but the house is situated a bit back. The seating was super comfy and the kitchen was nicely stocked for cooking. It was awesome to be able to bring our pup! "

"Our family stayed at the Birch Barn and the place is huge. It is beautiful, plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms and all open beam in the living room and great big windows. When we arrived everything looked clean and organized. There were 7 of us with 6 of us snowboarding/skiing and never felt crowded with all our gear. Everything felt very high-end, the projection screen and Bose surround sound system were great for watching tv and the gas fireplace was really easy to use. You can tell the owner put a lot of care and craftsmanship into the property. We used the hot tub every night, there is a Webber gas grill on the back deck and the kitchen had all the essentials for cooking in every night. The mudroom and bathroom floors were all heated which was really nice. The best part was we never felt the need to touch or figure out a thermostat. The house was very quiet at night, the beds were all very comfortable and because it was pet-friendly our dog enjoyed her stay too. The owner was very up front about needing 4WD in the winter months as the road is not paved and it is a pretty steep ascent/descent. We have a Chevy Tahoe and had no trouble getting up down the road even in a few inches of snow, but I would not attempt if you only have a front-wheel drive car or even a small suv without good snow tires if renting in the winter months as the weather can change quickly. Would highly recommend and we look forward to renting again. "
