Quiet Grand Mere Coach House on Lake Michigan

"This location is perfect for two people. It was just a few steps to Lake Michigan. Chairs were available in the shade to read while listening to waves and feeling the the breeze. It was perfect for us. We drove to St. Joseph and Benton Harbor to eat at some great restaurants."

"My family of 14 stayed at this beautiful lakeside house four nights in July-Aug 2026. We had a wonderful time and the house was amazing. The view was movie-setting worthy! We enjoyed the lakeside fire pit with Adirondack chairs for all. There was a perfect balance of large public space for everyone and private bed and bathrooms for each family plus space for children and teens. The house was quite clean. Only one general problem arose when we tried to go to the shared private beach. It was a further walk than anticipated and access was somewhat treacherous. But Bluefish was quickly responsive even over the weekend and made accommodations that resulted in us feeling whole. We will definitely rent vacation homes through Bluefish again. The home owners were also accommodating in resolving the beach issue we encountered."
Amazing Lake Michigan Views: Completely Remodeled and Steps from Lake Michigan!

"I’ll start by saying I’m an extremely particular person and I have high expectations, especially for the price we paid. The chalet was clean but had a heavy musty smell. I always bring essential oils for this reason but an exhaust fan in the bathroom would help and a dehumidifier would be extremely helpful. That musty smell was the worst in the bathroom. I waited for an email for the door code to get in, previous email said it would be sent 24 hours before checking but I had to reach out and ask. Host got back to me within an hour or so. The beaches were fantastic! No umbrella in our beach supplies but there were 4 lawn chairs and plenty of beach toys. The chalet is air conditioned by a window until in each bedroom and a stand alone unit in the living room. All three were very loud. The beds were comfortable and ample bedding and pillows provided. The provided pots and pans were disgusting, replacement was needed a long time ago. Washer & dryer would be a great addition. The chalet construction was sufficient but made as cheap as you could build. I feel like the price we paid would get us more luxury accommodations. The deck was falling apart- several chalets had new composite decks- I’m sure this one will be updated soon. I’ve paid less for a lot more. The grounds were clean but not well kept. The grounds reminded me of a campground, not a 600/night stay. I would stay here again but not at the rate we paid."

"Outstanding property for a double family trip! Lots of separate spaces for families with children of all ages. Game garage and hot tub was very nice, 10/10 would stay here again! The only thing to note is the poison ivy (can’t help it, duh it’s nature) for the littles to be careful of, as well as the front steps. It was a lovely stay for us!"
